Well 4 years ago wanted to stay on Anglesey. I tried to find a good camping site I looked everywhere on the net and resulted to yell.com. This site called Golden Sunset come up in Benllech . No need to book it said it was so large. It showed beautiful scenery mountains and sea and said we could fish from the rocks and showed Benllech beach full of golden sand . We set off wondering whether we would find a place to set up camp in our tent we took rods and all our camping stuff . What a pleasant surprise 2 mins walk on site fishing from the rocks and the scenery was romantic we set up on the hill looking over the bay. Red Wharf bay and Benllech beach. We woke up to the cry of seagulls and rabbits running wild all over the site. It was Paradise We thought we had died and gone to Heaven . Blue sky Blue green sea . My son and his wife and grandkids came over set up next to us BBQs galore and charming campers. It rained 2 days on my son said have you seen the mussel beds on Benllech beach . We went down picked mussels and cooked them in beer fantastic we caught sea bass and mackeral bbq s galore the kids had marshmellows and chocolate biscuits at night all thought it was great bbq ing on till midnight . A Family holiday paradise. In fact we have never been abroad in 4 yrs we go there for 3 hols a year now we have found paradise in Benllech a place to die for. Its what you make it fun or peaceful enough space to do either love it party on....

We have been to the Gazelle many times and the meal has never disappointed. The location by the waterside on the Menai Strait is iddylic, with superb views of the mountains of Snowdonia on a fine day. If the weather is warm, sit outside and soak up the atmosphere. In the evening, choose the restaurant and if booking in advance, try to reserve the table in the bay window which has the views described above. The only downside is the service, which can be VERY slow, so don't go there if you're in a hurry. However, the freshly cooked food is worth waiting for!

Stopped in with friends for a bank holiday lunch, and found TOBH to be more to our tastes than the perhaps more well known Ship Inn next door. A busy eatery is always a good sign, as is a willingness to bung a few tables together to cater for the size of your party. Service continued on that note, fast and very pleasant. The food was unfancy, tasty and well priced. No pretensions to being anything more than than it was. The menu covered a decent range of fish, meat and vegetarian options, and with addition of specials it was quite hard to choose what to eat. Portions were not stingy - and I'm all for a restaurant that can cook a decent new potato. It would have been nice to see a wider range of non-alcoholic drinks, because lets face it, if you come to Red Wharf Bay, someone had to drive...

We stopped in at the KA after a walk along the coast at Moelfre. The location is fantastic, with great views out over the bay. I can imagine it would be the perfect place to sit outside in the summer, but unfortunately it was a windy December day. The pub is spacious, feels family friendly but was quite empty when we went. The food is very much a la chain pubs like Weatherspoon, but perhaps not as polished. Not badly priced but definitely no risk of overpowering your taste buds. Overall a great location, especially if you can get a window table. Food perhaps more suited to those looking for a family experience than a dining one.

I stayed at Tre-Ysgawen Hall recently and had the most fantastic experience. The food was great and the service superb. Nothing was too much trouble. The spa and treatments are well worth a visit too! I will definitely be back.

May 2010. Found this pub in a popular pub guide book and thought we would give it a try on a Sunday evening. Very busy especially outside with plenty tables and chairs to sit at with lovely views some situated next to the sea. On entering the pub there is a family room on the left and main bar area on the right. Menu is relatively varied with a focus on fish dishes as you would expect. To eat we tried smoked mussels in a creamy sauce accompanied with chefs bread both nice, swordfish steak in peppercorn sauce (very peppery) which slightly overpowered the fish but still tasty, fish pie and fish & chips both dishes we were slightly disappointed with due to lack of seasoning/taste

My girlfriend and I ate here last night. We chose the Bistro which is cheaper per meal than the main restaurant but having enjoyed the food so much, I think we'll go back and try the restaurant as well. The food was excellent and there was a wide choice on offer. I had snails for the first time, which were delicious. We both chose seafood mains, my girlfriend having tiger prawns and I had mullet, both cooked very well. The portions were a good size but not too big that we couldn't eat desert as well. The atmosphere is smart but relaxed and the waiting staff were attentive without hassling. For three courses each plus drinks we paid less that £50, which was really good value for food that was way about the average in this area.

Terrible, terrible, terrible! I had a £3.70 kebab from the kebab house instead, after having to return a takeaway for being awful - at least the kebab was hot and edible and what I ordered, more than what taste of india could offer for the £10 takeaway that they tried to charge me £20 for until I challenged them. What I got from them (taste of india) - completely the wrong order, inedible, cold and not a care from them! Don't bother - eat cardboard instead, at least you'll get what you expect!
