hi ive just visited the restaurant for the first time reading the website and the window it stated adult lunch buffet was £8.95 and children was £5.95 seemed ok till it came time to pay the bill when they stated my children aged 10,11,12 weren't children after all but adults and we were charged the adult price i asked where it stated that kids were classed as adults and was told they dont need to advertise that i feel ripped off just as well i had enough money to pay the extras cost

Great little place. The food is all home made good value for money. The staff are very pleasant and its always a pleasure to have a meal. Friday and Saturday they now do meals at very reasonable prices with the added bonus of bringing your own wine. Small and intimate and good home made food a little gem in West Kilbride.

A great modern Italian restaurant just beside the marina in Ardrossan. We dined here whilst sailing around Arran. Good Veal milanese.

Our family attended a wedding close to The Mercat and we were lucky enough to book B&B for our stay in Cumnock. It was a pleasure to be guests at The Mercat as the standard of the rooms, hospitality and courtesy shown to us was perfect. The staff were more than helpful and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed, Mercat had easier access than other local hotels for the benefit of our elderly relative. The breakfast covered every one's choices and could not be faulted - we called it the " Lumberjack Special " Our thanks to all at Mercat making our stay as special as the wedding we attended. We wish them Good Luck for the future.

Best chippy in my local area, brilliant fish and chips, home made italian ice cream, huge selection of traditional sweetie jars. Can sit in or take away.. still run by an italian family, like the best chips still ur.
