We enjoyed our food* but I’m afraid the whole place was cold, clinical and lacking in atmosphere (we even moved from the restaurant to the - misnamed - snug). There are excellent Covid secure processes in place so perhaps that explains it, but any sense of a cosy pub atmosphere was entirely lacking. *apart from the over salted cabbage and measly ONE, albeit delicious, carrot. Wouldn’t return. Sorry!

Delicious food, excellent service and a lovely warm welcome. Visited whilst staying in the area with our children. No issue swapping a few things round on the kids menu for our fussy 9 year old. Plenty of choice on the menu for the adults and had a good range of drinks too. Would highly recommend the rack of lamb. Desserts were also delicious and the apple crumble was one of the best I’ve ever tasted. Will definitely be back.

Delicious food, excellent friendly service and lovely decoration .

We choose the Apple for a special dinner night and we definitely impressed on arrival, lovely place, clean warm and friendly. Service was friendly and courteous and the menu choice was broad enough with plenty for my GF partner to choose from. Food was timely and beautifully presented, both main and deserts (art on a plate). We will be visiting again as the menu was appealing to us both, actually booked for christmas eve as well, because we don't want to miss out. In terms of value for money, worth every penny.

My wife and I and 2 dogs had lunch on 22 October. The service was excellent. The food was extremely good quality. We will go back during our next holiday in Northumberland.

We had two evening meals at the Apple Inn, thourghly enjoyed them both. we felt very safe there.

Excellent dinner at the Apple Inn and today an excellent breakfast. Needless to say we are booked in twice more later this week to sample more of the menu! Very content with strict hygiene procedures while maintaining a happy and relaxed atmosphere. Full marks to staff in front and behind the scenes.
