i would recommend this to my friends and family as i feel welcome everytime that i go, and they make me feel welcome even when i take my 1 year old, she loves it and so do i. The food is great and there is plenty to choose from xx even desserts xx
China Moon – Barnsleyunder new management .... arrived and was greeted by lovely young lady who promptly seated myself and family. Chose Garlic mushrooms for starters followed by a beef sizzler .. To finish had a homemade dessert , it was bakewell tart and custard .. devine !! certainly worth a visit so much so that we have booked our wedding anniversary
Elephant and Castle – BarnsleyI tried this pub 3/10/10 on Johns recommendation. You really do need to try this good pub grub, excellent value for money, compliments to the chef and staff. Will go again defo!!!!!

Royal Spice, The – BarnsleyWe have eaten here several times and it gets better every time. We went last night and it was fantastic. The staff are fantastic, the atmosphere is relaxed and the food is superb. I can recommend the fish cake starter and the duck is superb. My wife had vegetarian spring rolls and an excellent chicken supreme. My sister had the excellent chicken pate and chicken skewers with honey and mustard glaze. She came from Liverpool for the week and has struggled to find a place as good there. Thoroughly recommended place to eat.
Latinos – BarnsleyThis little country pub put on an excellent wedding bash for my nephew and his new wife and about 50 guests. The food served was very good couldn't fault it! the staff were pleasant and efficient too! A good time was had by all Thank You!
Boatmans Rest – Barnsleythe food served consists of childrens portions which includes lumpy taties and watery gravy and the current tenants are quite unfriendly and surly and running down what the previous temporary managers had built up.
Millers Inn – Barnsleythe food is fantastic, we had fish cakes and calamari to start they were homemade and really fresh you could tell, then we had sirloin which they bring to to table and let you slice it off i had 12.8oz it came with homemade chips hm onion rings and all the bits so GOOD, my husband had a 1.5kilo barnsley chop with mint gravy WOW. Its a must go sample the staff are very helpful. the owner brendan is always working and will help with any questions

Market Hotel, The – BarnsleyChina Moon is a friendly place to be i think the prices are great for what you get, you get the real chinese experience in China Moon. but the drinks are high priced due to the cheap prices of food. china moon makes you feel welcome and homely. i would recommend China Moon for any event. 8/10 rating.
China Moon – BarnsleyWe have now made this curry house a regular stop for its atmosphere and quality of food is so good. We have visited again (about our 6th or 7th time since our last report) and it keeps getting better and better, so much so that we are pleased to confirm the status of 10/10 on all ratings offered by the Curry Club. The staff are so friendly and helpful always ensuring that the drinks are topped up and the food is to our liking. Keep up the excellent work.
Tandoori Hut – BarnsleyAfter awarding the first and so far only DLCC 10/10 to the Royal Spice a couple of weeks back, we returned to see if it could live up to its standard. Well what can we say. It maintained its service levels perfectly, the food was divine and we stand by our 10/10 rating. The experience we had is a credit to the staff and owners. Keep it up!!
Royal Spice, The – BarnsleyWell what can we say. From walking through the door to a friendly welcome, the pleasant surroundings and absolutely incredible food we were really taken aback. As a club we travel across Yorkshire sampling food (mainly curries) and this restaurant is the first to have astounded us all with the flavours and quality of the food. four dishes we asked to be modified to our requirements and each was no problem whatsoever to the staff, and was served to each persons request. The Nawabi lamb was stunning, the chicken achar exquisite. All other dishes were being held in the highest regard. So much so that this restaurant has achieved the first ever DLCC 10/10 rating on all counts. Well done to everyone at the restaurant.
Royal Spice, The – BarnsleyFor those who recall the original Tandoori hut, you will be amazed at the transformation. It has turned into a glamorous two story restaurant with quality food and service which will not disappoint. We went last Saturday and it was very busy so make sure you make a reservation. We were greeted politely and were shown to our table without delay. service was good although our only complaint is we did not receive the Lassi we ordered. The food is excellent and we can recommend the lamb chops handi on the specials list of the menu. Portion are generous and if you are hungry you can order the large naan as an accompaniment to your delicious curry. We have been numerous time since it opened and have never been disappointed. We took some Curry Club guests this time and they we very impressed with their experience. We give the restaurant a DLCC rating of 8.5/10
