Unquestionably the finest food in the North West. We have now been three times - having the Ala Carte and the tasting. This tiny - quite hard to find place towers above anything on Merseyside, Cheshire, Wirral (think its restaurant of the year in Cheshire?) - the textures and tastes are exquisite and accessible. Having eaten in several Michelin's this place surely will be amongst the new ones. It has 3 AA's. Part of me wants it to remain a wee secret but it cant for long.

I can only say this was a pure dinning experience with excellent service and the finest ingredients used. Both my wife and our friends had a truly gastro delight and all washed down with some sumptuous wine. This is an excellent restaurant and relatively inexpensive considering the quality, surely it wont be long before a Michelin star comes a knocking on the door.

An excellent restaurant! Great staff, very helpful and attentive! Wonderful food, the best yet! All my family outings are there, celebrating birthdays and anniversaries, they always provide the best of services!!!! Highly recommended!

Good food however their was a hair in my starter. Service was good if a little understated, however it was good to eat in a restaurant who truly know who they are.

We have eaten at fraiche five times now; four times we have had the tasting menu and one lunch. The food is always good, often excellent. Over the course of our visits the service has sometimes been a little awkward when compared to similar quality establishments elsewhere. The waiting staff have changed since my last visit and are now more polished than sometimes previously. One observation from my last visit was that the tasting menu did not comprise of as many courses as it has in past visits but the quality remains high, plenty of expensive ingredients cooked well and presented with flair. This is a very good restaurant, there is nowhere comparable locally and although it can be expensive it is worth the price for the high quality offered.

Tuesday night was very quiet- just our table of 4 and one other couple, which made for a subdued atmosphere. Nevertheless the setting is classy with interesting art on the walls. Very attentive service and all those little touches you expect from a wannabe Michelin starred restaurant- the pre-starter and pre-dessert were delicious. And of course they help with the value for money rating but there's no getting away from the fact that this is an expensive restaurant and after 3 courses plus the little extras I didn't actually leave feeling full. The food was excellent- well prepared and perfectly cooked and served and the waiter was knowledgeable and more than happy to provide extra info to help the decision making. None of us were vegetarian- fortunately as there was only one choice of starter and main course available. Not a place to go if you just fancy a night off cooking, but to celebrate a special event it could definitely make an occasion more memorable. I'll certainly be trying it on a weekend to see if there's more of a buzz (a very refined buzz obviously)!

Thought is was a really lovely meal, everything served was piping hot and so tasty! Highly recommend it to everyone!

Takes restaurants on the Wirral into a different class. Superb food, good service and a great atmosphere. Easily the equal of many Michelin-starred restaurants I've eaten in, so expect a star soon.

When I was told we were eating in a French restaurant, I must admit I had my hesitations but as soon as we walked through the door we knew it would be a completely different experience. From the canopies to the drinks service, the atmosphere ensured your mood was as chilled as the restaurant intended it to be. With a fine selection of dishes to choose from, or for the more adventurous a Gourmet menu which included a number of smaller sized dishes ensuring the customer could sample a variety of dishes that infused different ingredients and different styles of cooking but consistently delivered an outstanding taste. The menu really did highlight the phrase 'value for money' as you really did get back what you were paying for. I found the staff very attentive and discreetly picked up on any requests by customers, as my friend and I experienced it for ourselves. I wouldn? like to consistently revisit this restaurant as it takes the essence away from it being a treat, a special occasion but more directly, something to look forward to. I hope that other people will visit the restaurant in hope of being surprised, relaxed and impressed. Thank you!

My favourite Chinese restaurant on Merseyside & we have tried a lot, the staff are very friendly & attentive the food is 2nd to none quite expensive but well worth it the Chinese new year celebrations are excellent.... LOVE IT

Good location, wonderful food and atmosphere, especially at weekends! Staff are great too.

Had 9 course taster menu. 3 courses excellent, scallop, rabbit and dessert. Enjoyed the element of surprise of this menu but felt restaurant lacked atmosphere. only 8 diners. Very attentive service but a bit overpowering, found ourselves whispering as server picked up on every word!

AFTER HEARING RAVE REVIEWS OF THIS RESTAURANT WE SET OUT TO EXPLORE FRAICHE, AND MY WIFE AND I WERE VERY IMPRESSED BY THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE, THE TASTING MENU HAS TO BE TAKEN AS THIS GIVES A BETTER PERSPECTIVE OF THE ORIGINAL AND STIMULATING CUISINE OFFERED, A RESTAURANT WITH A VERY BRIGHT FUTURE, THE BEST FINE DINING IN THE NORTH WEST WE HAVE YET FOUND.

Fraiche is not just good; it is simply world class. The food equals the best of Paris, London and New York and it won't be long before Mark Wilkinson has at least one Michelin star. I'm lucky; I live around the corner from Fraiche. It's a restaurant for special occasions - eating there is very special. Clearly it's attracting discerning customers from a wide area; what it needs now is Wirral residents to realise what they've got on their doorsteps.

We ate the twelve course tasting menu. Very interesting combinations of flavour and texture, all presented with great attention to detail & style. The service was friendly and helpful although an extra pair of hands may be beneficial. It is good to see such a place on Merseyside. A very enjoyable experience. I will definitely return.

Not the most obvious of locations but very accessible, The Station restaurant provides an intimate and relaxing dining experience. The food is modern European and it has a small but varied wine list (False Bay Shiraz is excellent). Service is always attentive and charming, but to mention again, the food is wonderful. Definitely Wirral's best kept secret.
