High quality home cooked, healthy food at excellent prices, optionally delivered to your door. There is no other cafe / take-away anything like this in Birmingham and the menu choice is absolutely massive. The only disadvantage is they're only open fairly late from Thursday until Saturday as I'd be ordering even more. Their breakfast and choice is also excellent and can also optionally be delivered. I thoroughly recommend Gordon Blue and you won't be disappointed.

We stumbled across The Rectory by accident on a rather busy Saturday night and what a piece of luck that turned out to be! The waiter did extremely well even to seat us and when the meals arrived we could see why it was so busy. I opted for the beef wellington on the recommendation of the waiter, my wife plumped for the sea bass. Both great choices, cooked perfectly and presented well. Only a small choice of desserts but since my wife commented that her cheesecake was the most delicious she'd ever tasted in her life, I guess I'll have to forgive them for that. Overall the atmosphere in the restaurant was perfect, and the service throughout was attentive without being overbearing. Definitely a place we will hurry back to.

Came to this restaurant 2 years ago; was fabulous. Now, I have a 2 year old child. Service was absolutely horrible. The waiters were unhelpful, impatient and unfriendly. I'm sure they are fine with corporate clientele but they do not accommodate children well. Do not recommend to mothers. PS Food was average but nothing special. Sorry guys

The best Chinese Buffet in Town, Very good Value for Money, love their live cooking station.

I cannot rate this place highly enough, Whenever we are in Birmingham we head for this diner. The burgers are cooked to perfection and the salads are not to miss. They are very filling but they also do smaller burgers but only in a few of there range. Nice and relaxed - bit of a wait but worth it. Go for it!

Like finding an oasis in the desert! We had searched for a good quality, reasonably priced cafe that would deliver in the Hockley area for some time, then discovered Gordon Blue... fantastic food, delivered quickly, fresh and hot and didn't break our bank. Highly recommended!

Cote is very good value for money - the meal we had on Saturday was excellent - tuna steak and a very nice creme brulee for dessert!!! A good relaxed place to go with friendly service.

The best steak I've had in many years and I've travelled extensively. The whole meal and service was excellent. Will definitely go again soon. We had lunch but I'm sure the ambience at night must be fantastic right on the canals.

having recently spent my birthday meal at this restaurant my friends and i were very impressed firstly the service was excellent with a lot of attention but not too overbearing ,the food was really delicious and very different from the other restaurants ,the ambience was pleasant which all made for a really good night out and well worth the price we paid we women who are usually hard to please will definitely return.

This is an excellent restaurant and bar, quite different to the other establishments in the area in its more modern feel. Me and my girlfriend had a cocktail in the bar first (Freshly made) before moving into the restaurant for our meal. It had a lovely relaxed feel with very friendly, attentive staff. I had garlic mushrooms to start, which were beautifully moist and my partner had the pate, which she really enjoyed. We both had fillet steaks for main, which were perfectly cooked to our liking (rare and medium) and a bottle of Cabernet Merlot, which was lovely. The entire bill came to less than £60 including the cocktails, which we thought was excellent value for money and to top it all off, if you don't fancy going home there is a Premier Inn next door!

I would recommend this wonderful gem of a cafe to everyone. I go there once a week for lunch and the food is nicely presented and very appetising. The couple who own it are very welcoming and friendly

Great baked potatoes I am wondering how exactly they cook these?

I celebrated my 40th at Xaymaca as it was formerly called, the service was good by the food was not. Having had the restaurant formerly recommended I wrote a letter of complain and never had a reply. Sadly I will not go there again.

A group of nine went a Saturday night for my wife's birthday. The food was excellent ( my main course was Goan fish curry with monk fish), the service was very good despite the place being pretty well full including two other large groups. Highly recommended, we will return.

Best steak frites and creme caramel I have ever had! They have a large outside terrace so it will be great spot for summer dining. Service is good, and the best thing, is they do really good value lunch deals at £9.95 for two courses.

I will recommend the burgers they are cooked to perfection
