Great sunny day sat outside enjoying the beautiful surroundings. My choice today was a long cold pimms and a Caesar salad. No wait really 20 mins even though was busy. Great pub. They have definitely got it right .

Excellent restaurant the best in Knowle you must visit the Ellora as we have for 38 years. The service is exceptional, the Staff go beyond there duties nothing is a problem! The food is great we often take clients from all over the world and they always want to come back and go to the Ellora on their visit. Never had a bad meal you must visit sometime in your life.

It was my birthday Feb 21st, I chose to come to the Herons Nest with my husband and two friends, having been there once before I had praised the place up to our friends only to be very disappointed, Where we were seated was freezing cold, was told heating in this area broken, there was very strong very cold drafts coming through bottom of windows, we moved to another table to escape this as did others who sat in this area, we were not offered any other seating in a warmer area, it seems heating okay elsewhere apart from where we were. hence we all sat to eat meal in our coats. also the menu had run out of the items we had decided on, another disappointment. We were not the only people not happy, we left earlier than intended to go home to get warm. I'm embarrassed and disappointed after the build up I gave to my friends, not to mention my birthday ruined. I must say the food we had was very nice, but do we come back, Im not sure.

I like the Black Boy, I have special needs, and every time I go the staff always look after me. I like to sit next to the window and look out onto the canal, I like canals. The food is very nice and the gravy on the chill con carne is especially good. The price of the food is very good. I am not allowed alcohol any more but the drinks are good value, they make me a big glass of lime squash for 25p Will be going back shortly I hope Please

when you first walk in, you are greeted by a friendly waiter who seats you either straight away or as soon as possible. After ordering you get to enjoy the atmosphere of the restaurant and simply enjoy your time there. The food is presented superbly and the waiter serves it onto the plate, just the right amount. I personally had the chicken korma with mushroom pilau rice and garlic naan bread, it was all cooked to perfection. The service was excellent and it was a good price. I would never have expected such fine food and dining for such a low price! I recommend it to anyone.

Excellent size portions, hearty well made meals with lots of options. Good prices and nice setting, especially in the summer. Advise visiting here more so than those chain restaurants for that little bit extra.

Went on Tuesday night with a party of six. The Drum is a pub, which does food so it? a typical find a seat quote a table number setup. The decor put me in mind of the Garden House on the Hagley road and wall well maintained and pleasant to spend a few hours in. My father in law wanted to borrow the table for his Christmas Dinner. Service was friendly but just a tad slow not enough to ruin the experience but noticeable. I had the special prawn starter steak and Treacle pudding and custard all was very good starter was not quite what is expected but I think that was my fault rather then the preparation. Steak was a decent size cook Medium as I asked and each cause was a decent portion size and well presented. Drinks meals and dinner came to just over 70 notes All in nice place, friendly staff and good food. Would recommend the Drum for a night out.
