Firstly they over charged my family over 20%, when we questioned them they not only made us feel terrible and they actually started shouting, even after they realised that they over charged me and my family they told me that because we had paid for it they couldn’t do anything, even though my father in-law questioned the price before paying but was made to feel dumb. As you can imagine we was very dissapointed at this but we didn’t want to let them spoil our night as we was celebrating England’s football win, unfortunately no matter how much we tried to enjoy the food it was never going to happen, the meat was tougher than rambos leather boots, the sauces were just water with a sprinkle of what I can only assume to be coriander, though your guess is as good as mine and everything had the distinct taste of frozen. I just hope I have saved some family's what we went through tonight.

First time diner at this restaurant food beautifully presented extremely delicious service second to none staff friendly and attentive compliments to whoever the chef is all I can say is we'll be back over and over.

Best chippy in blackpool

My husband and I called at the red lion for a late dinner after Christmas shopping, to unwind and relax, and we sure did that. We met a new waitress, very lovely lady ,we had a laugh and joke. Oh yes! of cause our meal was up to the usually high standard that it is always, the meat very tender and plenty on our plates. Will see you all again SOON.

We have been going to this restaurant for many years, food fantastic , staff always make us welcome. Took my husband for his 60th birthday, staff really mad a fuss of him and gave him a great night, we are off there again tonight!!!!

Tonight went to this chippy been a customer here for 17years, in that time varied sometimes good sometimes fair.Tonight our fish and chips were uneatable,fish small all batter over burnt hardly any fish inside and chips over burnt and not real chips just bits. Very Upset.

Amazing? Carvery, so obviously not. Good? Absolutely. Meat not cremated, veg fresh and varied. Kids eat free on a Sunday too, so less than £20 (£19.42) for a hearty lunch and a round of drinks for the 4 of us. What's not to like?

Stumbled across this chippy when out for a walk, waiting for the illuminations to be switched on. Decided to use the diner and was well pleased with the friendly, polite and helpful young staff, a credit to the establishment, the food was good as well.

Just been today for lunch. Took our order no problem, 30 mins later they told us they didn't have two of the items we wanted. There where 8 of us so two people had to order something different, it was only Pate so you would have thought they could have told us sooner !! Then it was five of us eating and the other two waiting for their lunch !! Food average service not brilliant staff could smile more and place drinks on table with a bit more finess. Toilets disgusting and needed a good clean !! Staff training a must !!

Went into the Bispham branch yesterday 04/06/2015 for a chip barm-cake and jumbo sausage . Their was only two people in front of me and it took approx ten minutes before I was served . The chips weren't very good and they smothered them in vinegar . The sausage was edible , just . The grand total was an unbelievable £3.60 and I can honestly say that Seniors will never again get a penny from me . The mark up on that must be at least 200 . One other thing , can you please smile when you are taking peoples money . Thank you .It is true , they do use kids . Probably easier to bully . My advice is , don't waste your money on this over priced burly edible food . They are ripping the people and visitor's off in the Fylde

We returned to the restaurant for the second time our first visit being on Mothers Day when we had not booked and had to wait but were not disappointed with the wait for a table when the food came. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is well cooked and presented full of flavour and fresh. This visit we tried the 4 course banquet it has lots of choice and is great value for money. The standard and quantity of food is not compromised by being on this offer and is well recommended. We will be returning again in the near future and will be taking some Indian friends to try this excellent restaurant.

Went for my birthday dinner this week beautiful restaurant with lovely food but that's where it ends they are so short staffed the wait time is terrible we waited over half an hour for the starters then another 45 minutes for the mains we got to the stage when we were going to leave when we spoke to our waitress she admitted how short staffed they were and that everyone always complains they only had one chef working and were turning people away when the restaurant was not even half full seems quite simple to me get more staff! This could be a fantastic place if the manager actually had staff to manage with the customers it would be full every night would definitely go regularly but until the staff shortages are sorted out won't be going any time soon

Didn’t realize Red Bank Road on a Saturday during the Illuminations would be so busy – and it appears the Sunam didn’t realize either! Food was good but we had to wait too long both to order initially and then for the food to arrive. I do sympathize as a business these days can’t really afford to have too many staff hanging around. But better communication would have made the waiting more acceptable. Instead of waiters deliberately avoiding eye contact, it would have been far better for them to come over and explain that they were unexpectedly busy and we might have to wait a while longer for our food.

Really bad customer service, waited 35 minutes for my food and then when it came it had two hairs in. Sent it back and when they brought a new one after 20 minutes, it was a tiny portion without the peppercorn sauce.

Wonderful food every time we go. The atmosphere is great and all the staff are welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended.

Went for dinner recently at La Piazza II in Bispham. It’s an Italian restaurant with a Spanish theme -- framed photos of Cuba adorning the walls, salsa on the sound system and Rioja on the wine list. But the menu seems to be 100 Italian so go figure. The food was pleasant enough and the atmosphere quite lively albeit in a retro kind of way with noisy waiters shouting across the room and having a real laugh with the punters. Every Italian restaurant was like this 20 years ago but they are getting increasingly thin on the ground. Go there while you can!

We visited this restaurant when we were staying in Bispham in January 2014. It was a little quiet as it was out of season but there were a few couples in there. My partner and I sheared 3 or 4 dishes and the food was absolutely superb. Well worth a visit and a very reasonable price. We are going back to blackpool at end of February 2014 - even though we are staying in blackpool itself this time - will will be going out of our way to visit New Harmany again. Staff so friendly and couldn't do enough for us.

Was at the bispham kitchen last weekend and the fish and chips were fantastic, the best we've tasted in Blackpool for many a year!
