We went on Friday night and although the decor was entertaining and the staff were friendly, me and my sister have both been violently ill ever since, from a burger and chips we had here (all we ate that day). We've spoken to some locals while at our hotel and our case is not an isolated one, one lady was food poisoned earlier this year from eating chicken there and took several days to get better. Its a shame cause it has potential but its not somewhere I would ever go back or recommend.

I’ll be honest the least I expect when ordering a fresh sandwich is bread cut from a fresh loaf not 2 pieces of bread from a thin pre sliced loaf And a little ham Fair enough I ordered a ham sandwich Which is what I got But if it arrived on freshly cut bread a little thicker with more than a child’s portion of ham I maybe would have understood why I payed nearly £8 Setting was nice Girl who served us was lovely

So lovely to be back at Staining Lodge. Easy to book a table on line and certainly felt very safe with all the precautions they have in place. The owners chatted to us and asked if we felt safe and happy with everything. Food and service wonderful as usual . Can’t wait to go back again!

Excellent as always, food was fantastic and the service & staff were superb. Highly recommended. The set up and the staff followed all government guidelines to ensure our experience was Covid secure. Well Done everyone. We will be back.

Staining golf club was beautifully decorated, the menu is not too busy making it easier to make a choice, I chose the home made chicken pie and I have to say, it was the nicest pie I have ever had, delightful. The burgers went down well with the others in my party, just my 13 year old was not impressed with the chutney on the burger but we know for next time as the burger was lovely. We will be back, 10/ 10

All meals cooked to your liking ,never had a bad meal either inside or takeaway and great service

Absolutely awful place. Went with a large party of 22 for a Xmas party night. Food was served luke warm and was very tepid. Service was very poor and slow. Drink orders taken at table, paid for upfront, and then had to wait minimum of 30 mins before they would turn up. Had to evacuate building just after show started due to a fire on stage (which appeared to be caused by a pyrotechnic prop being set off and setting alight a nearby artificial Xmas tree......negligent to say the least!). Show resumed about one hour later, but due to freezing cold temperatures outside and the trauma of the fire, 18 members of our party had already gone home. All attempts to claim a refund for our tickets and for paid for drinks that were untouched or unfinished have just fell on totally deaf ears. Several emails and phone calls have just been arrogantly ignored! If you are looking for a good night out then this is definitely not the place to go. Do not waste a single penny of your hard earned money and avoid it like the plague!

I booked a meal online for 1st Jan, for my birthday and 3 elderly relatives who were travelling to Blackpool to celebrate with me. We were all gathered and ready for lunch, when the manager called to inform me that a staff member had forgotten to turn off the automated booking system and they were in fact closed. It was too late to find anywhere else and so we ended up eating at a local pub. I have now been asked to write a review and so I have obliged

Ordered Sunday lunch. Very disappointed would have complained but my guest asked me not to . Both meals where luke warm. Beef was tough and it tasted as if it had been sat under a hot lamp for a while. Sorry i have had to write this as other meals have always been very good. Hopefully just a one off.

My family and I came for Sunday lunch. T he roast potatoes in the roast dinner were very hard and we had 2 children - for whom I ordered chicken and chips and was given and charged for 2 adult meals rather than the £6 childrens option which I obviously wanted - the girls are 2 and 7 so not big children. The food was lovely apart from these small issues however my husband had the impression that the staff were waiting for us to leave once our meal was finished?

Not been to Italio for a while and had a really good time. Friendly welcome from the manager (who remembered us from quite some time ago), really lively feel even though it was quite early in the evening, great pizzas and very good value. What more could you ask for?

Fabulous food!! Would highly recommend the autumnal afternoon tea - so tasty!

We complemented the chef, which we rarely do. The food was both delicious and authentic. Our 8 plates arrived in stages as you would expect when tapas are prepared freshly and served when ready.

This was our first visit and a little disappointed. We had booked on line but we were not expected when we arrived. The waitress was very nice but not very experienced as we had to ask for a glass for the bottle of beer. The tapas menu was quite limited. The mushrooms were very tasty and the lemon chicken has a lovely flavour and sauce. The beef dish was mainly potatoes and the only one that was nice and hot, the rest were really only tepid. It didnt help that the dishes came out in dribs and drabs. Overall, the staff were nice and friendly but need to pay attention to the details of service to give us the dining experience and standards that we would expect.

very pleasant place to meet for lunch.. could do without the wasps though... maybe keep the door closed
