This pub has everything you could want in a pub. It has excellent food, a nice pint, a warm and friendly atmosphere, lovely landlords, and a big, safe beer garden for the kids to play on those lovely sunny afternoons.

They have only started doing meals since May 2007 and the new tenants have made it a very friendly and inviting atmosphere, food and service excellent would recommend.

My 10 year old son and I stopped here midway through a bike ride to and from Sirhowy Valley on a warm April lunchtime. The menu was varied, service was excellent and the food was top class. I plan to take my wife here for an evening meal very soon.

This place serves a lovely meal in a warm atmosphere and is very reasonable. The pub also serves a fantastic HOMEMADE SUNDAY LUNCH which is of reasonable price.

Excellent lunch just prior to Christmas, starters superb, main course wonderful. Very good food, more than ample portions and very good value for money.

Absolutely fantastic 5* food and service. I?e dined there many times. There is a great selection of food, all cooked to perfection, and to suit all tastes.

The food was outstanding which pleased every one of the guests. Once a month the establishment runs a three course meal with entertainment for just twelve pounds so far - fabulous, well worth a visit!
