Michelin-starred chef Hrishikesh Desai has achieved a great deal since he took over as head chef at Gilpin Hotel and Lake House, the Relais & Chateaux country house hotel that sits perched above Lake Windermere. As well as the Michelin star for his eponymous fine dining restaurant Hrishi, Gilpin's new pan-Asian brasserie, Gilpin Spice - which only opened in October 2016 - has already picked up two AA rosettes.
