Indique has been named Best Restaurant in the Northwest in the 2018 British Curry Awards. It’s the latest accolade for this groundbreaking Indian restaurant in West Didsbury.
Indique is – as the name suggests – both Indian and unique. It’s owned and run by a passionate Indian couple whose goal it is to put a modern twist on the traditional Indian curry. It’s fine dining Indian-style in a rustic yet elegant environment inspired by Rajasthan.
You might start with Pani Puri, fried puff-pastry balls with spiced mashed potato, served with highly spiced water. The idea is to fill the balls with the spiced water and pop in the mouth for a real flavour explosion. And for a main course choice, how about the Smoky Lal Maas Pitika? This Rajasthani delicacy features baby lamb chops cooked in a smoked spicy tomato curry served with masala mashed potato. Desserts, so often the poor relation, are a delight here at Indique too. If you're in search of something different from your regular neighbourhood curry house, this is the place for you.
