New Inn, Chapel-En-Le-Frith – Country Casual

The New Inn at Chapel-En-Le-Frith has a striking new look following a £100,000 makeover by licensee Nicola Bremner and Stockport-based brewers, Robinsons Brewery. The four-week refurbishment was carried out internally and externally, to bring a new lease of life back to the popular country pub which sits close to Lyme Park, a large Peak District estate managed by the National Trust that has a mansion house, formal gardens and a deer park.

The pub now boasts a redesigned layout to create a more spacious bar area and dining room. There’s new furniture and fixed brown leather seating as well as atmospheric lighting, such as feature pendants and antique brass wall lights, that illuminate the gleaming new look. Utilising a rich colour palette with tones of blues and cranberry, a warm country feel with floral patterns has been created throughout. The original herringbone parquet flooring has been stripped back and refinished too, complementing the rest of the pub and retaining its original charm.

The New Inn now offers a delicious new bar food menu, along with an exciting new drinks range to accompany, inclusive of a new wine, gin and rum list and the addition of premium and craft lagers. “I’m absolutely amazed by the transformation,” says Nicola. “The New Inn now feels like a real pub again and it’s a real pleasure to open the doors each day and see the great reaction of the customers.”
