New Look For The Red Lion In High Lane

The Red Lion in High Lane has reopened following a stylish refurbishment by Robinsons Brewery. Renowned for its Sunday lunch and seasonal food menu, the flagship pub was closed for just over a month whilst the design team carried out a stylish makeover creating a cosy yet chic space that’s perfect not just for special occasions but for meeting and socialising.

Internally, the new seating and casual dining spaces around the bar create an ideal place for relaxing and sampling some of the Red Lion’s multiple award-winning cask ales, craft beers, wines and their new extensive spirits range. This bar area is also dog friendly, making it a perfect place to bring your four-legged friend after a day of exploring the area. The Red Lion has also retained its formal dining areas that are perfect for special occasions and celebrations, whilst the former snug and panel room is now available for private dining and meetings.

The reopening coincides with a new spring and summer menu which champions fresh, seasonal produce. Dishes such as the new spring lamb kleftiko, seabass en papillotte and Malaysian Rendang curry sit side-by-side with pub classics such as beer battered fish and chips and homemade cheese and onion pie. “The Red Lion is a fantastic pub with a brilliant reputation,” says Simon Taylor, Retail Operations Manager for Robinsons Brewery. “Whilst we will continue to champion our exciting menu, we wanted to shine a spotlight on our excellent drinks range and bring the bar back to the forefront. The new Red Lion is the perfect place to ‘make a night of it’ for High Lane and the surrounding areas.”
