Tre Ciccio, Altrincham – The Taste Of Campania

Tre Ciccio opened its doors in Altrincham on Valentine’s Day. The concept for this new Italian restaurant was born on a warm summer’s evening in Campania, southern Italy, taking inspiration from the region’s speciality roast chicken and staple street food, Pizza Neopolitana.

Meaning ‘three chubby friends’, Tre Ciccio is the product of a passion shared between chef Francesco Scafuri and two friends from the industry. Having met and worked together previously, the trio are determined to bring the passion, flavours and vibrancy of an Italian trattoria to Altrincham town centre. Inspired by the family-run village restaurant Francesco came across on his visit home to Italy, Tre Ciccio encapsulates the warmth and authenticity of a small Italian kitchen whilst sitting comfortably in the cosmopolitan offering of the town’s thriving food scene.

Amongst a list of delicious and classic dishes, the restaurant boasts their unique offering of roast chicken and potatoes sitting alongside wood-fired pizza as their hero dishes. Choose the pizza and you’ll enjoy a light, digestible crust baked in their specialist oven topped with their special pizza sauce and a variety of classic and gourmet toppings.

The owners are excited to welcome customers into the restaurant after months of renovations. Housing a warm upstairs seating area, with 50 covers downstairs and an outside terrace with retractable roof, which is set to be ready in March, the Moss Lane restaurant will be a firm favourite not only for foodies but for those wanting to meet friends for drinks on warm balmy evenings too.  Open Tuesday to Sunday, Tre Ciccio serves breakfast from 10am and carries on service to lunch through to dinner. For local workers or those in a hurry, their pizza and chicken is also available for takeaway.
