Newcastle’s newest nightlife venue has opened on High Bridge Street, just off Grey Street. Spread over three floors, the bar and restaurant is the result of a £1million investment which has restored this formerly derelict building to its former glory. It’s also one of the few places in the city with a Manhattan-style roof terrace.

Yolo Townhouse opens from 8am for breakfast and brunch or you can just drop by for a morning coffee. At lunch, it’s a great spot for a light bite or a sharing platter with free wifi if you’re mixing business with pleasure. And in the evenings, the modern European menu with its platters, salads, steaks and kebab skewers is served until 9pm weekdays and 10 pm weekends.

If you’re looking to party, there’s a great cocktail menu that changes seasonally and regular live music and DJs throughout the week. Yolo Townhouse is open until 2am every night and private hire is available for up to 100 people on the first floor and roof terrace.
