It has been said that Il Fornello is a classy affair. I totally agree! I brought a business client here knowing their menu is open to every taste, the service is dependable and mature. We had exquisitely prepared fish that came with perfectly cooked veg, and for starters had a tasty prawn salad. I am so pleased to know a restaurant that can serve for business-minded types too!

Besides the assortment of mezes, dips and veggies, the children loved the murals, each one hand-crafted we were told. The music added an extra pinch of Greek flavour, but the cuisine had already more than satisfied us. Definitely highly recommend to all.

The food is heavenly and the merry ambiance the Greek music and staff bring is the ticket for a great night out. Their beef cubes cooked in wine is just one of my favourite dishes. Me and my friends give Yialousa thumbs up for being second to none.

A strong shot of espresso and warm croissants for us adults, and fresh OJ for the kids with the full English Breakfast they shared prepared us so well for the day’s excitement we returned for lunch! Yialousa Greek Taverna – BloomsburyTwo couples, we came early in the evening to Trattoria Verdi and spent almost the whole evening there. The food, service and atmosphere was so welcoming. We sat at a round table near the piano player. It was priced right and we got a free drink on the house.

We came here last week as a group from work. They found a cosy place forus at the back where we could feel at home. I rember trying the Parma ham, mexican, and the House, and two who are vegetarian enjoyed their pizzas too! The staff were very attentive and obliging.

My partner chose the Rainbow Trout cooked with finesse, me the Chicken Pilaf, marinated for tender, succulent flavour. It all went down really well with their well-chosen house wine. The staff were friendly and cheerful. Reminded me of my trip to Mykonos last year. Tah!

The warm, friendly welcome and super tasty and plentiful Italian fare left them ready for further adventures in our capital city.

La Roma Bella – BloomsburyMy husband brought me to Trattoria Verdi to celebrate our wedding anniversary last week, and he made the right choice. The waitresses were very friendly and also discreet. On this important occasion we wanted Verdi’s supreme choice, fish and seafood dishes. For starters we shared the Scotch smoked salmon, and prawns cocktail and took an excellent sparkling wine to go with it, then for the main course along with the grilled Dover sole, and the fried calamari my husband enjoyed, we chose the Pinot Grigio. By coincidence, I am told, the pianist also played a couple of our favourite melodies. We chose treats from their dessert tray to conclude the meal. Indeed, the food, wine, ambiance and the service at Trattoria Verdi was all top notch. I am proud of my guy!
Trattoria Verdi – BloomsburyWe attended this bar, and saw a member of staff pour around 5 litres of water over an innocent vulnerable girl, who ran into the toilet in tears.If you look around the internet you will see various reviews that talk about this pub having unreasonable manager with a unbelievable bad attitude.. But our experience is by far the worsted.At no point was there any regret as both the manager and barman found this hysterically funny.The manager told us he did this all the time and gets away with it. He boasts that he knows all the rules and is able to use physical violence against customers and be within the law.We suffered physical force and verbal abuse. And then was contacted by telephone by the landlady. Instead of trying to investigate, I found her to be even more aggregated.It is advised that there are lots of bars in London, where you can guaranteed a professional respect from the staff.Life is too short to use this public house.And to quote the manager, 'if you don't like it your can f@ck off'. It is good advice.Please use a different establishments instead.
