I have always admired how Greek food is seasoned, and I have to say Yialousa does this expertly. I recently spent an all-round fantastic evening dining there with a group of friends. The meat and vegetable dishes were fabulous, the wine top-notch, the servings very generous and the personnel very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning.

Ever had to quickly choose where to dine? This happened to me recently. I was in Bloomsbury not far from work, but far from hungry, and a partner of our firm needed to eat, now! The receptionist at work suggested to go to Southampton Row to find something. Perfect suggestion, because I found Il Fornello. The menu was diverse fine dining Italian and roused my appetite. Being sophisticated gents we ordered from their fish menu. Our meals were glorious. My guest was pleased and my boss the more so when he heard the partner report that the meal had been superb!

I have made a habit of going to Yialousa since transferring to London a month ago. The food and service are first-rate, and the ambience as well. I love being there, with colleagues or alone. The place gives off good vibes, and I have come up with more good ideas while sitting there eating their delicious, juicy and tender souvlaki than a whole afternoon at the office.

Superb anniversary dinner! I brought my wife here to celebrate our fifteenth wedding anniversary. The waitresses were divinely attentive, and there was a piano player to spice up the occasion. My wife had the spaghetti carbonara served liberally in white sauce. I ordered the Sirloin steak which came just as I had asked, medium-rare, and the red wine from Sardinia was excellent. The place was full, and yet the tables are placed with ample space between guests. Very thoughtful. We truly enjoyed ourselves and will be looking for another excuse to return!

I was staying at the hotel right opposite the restaurant I was walking down the road and the restaurant caught my eye how flashy it was. It was about lunch time and i was really Hungary I went in and it was very welcoming I started ordering my drinks and they came very quickly I started ordering my meal and when they came I was shocked how fast it was. Everybody was very cheerful and nice I will highly recommend this restaurant.

I went to this restaurant last week and I am afraid the service was appalling. The waiter was more interested in texting than he was serving. I left before my food was served as the waiter after several requests for a drink could not even be bothered to bring it to the table even though it was waiting at the bar. I would not recommend the place at all.

What a fantastic restaurant. I went there last night and the whole experience was great from start to finish. The cost is more than normal, the portions are much larger than normal and the food tastes better than normal! What more can you ask for?! As a guide, a portion here is probably twice that anywhere else so order accordingly. I can thoroughly recommend the Barbecue Ribs with Pepper and Spicy Salt. I regularly eat spare ribs and these were definitely the best I have ever eaten.

Just to let you all know that I went to this Indian Restaurant with my Girlfriend (Amanda - She's a Darling) last week for Dinner - and believe me it was one of the *****BEST***** Indian Meals I've had in ages... right from Starter (Vegetable Samosa) - Main course (must try Madrass - HOT) - Desert (Mango Kulfi) it was a Finger Licking Meal and the staff were very polite. I will be going there again (*a Must try - thumbs UPPP!!! )

Good Points: Very cheap err..that's it Bad points: Had to ask for menu Had to remind then to bring my drink halfway through my meal. Had to ask for napkin. Poor attitude of staff. I visited this small restaurant as it appeared small and I thought the service would be attentive, being small. How wrong was I? It all went wrong from the start. Firstly, I was seated on a table with nothing on except a salt and pepper pot. After waiting a few minutes and twiddling my thumbs, I thought I'd ask for a menu as it seemed like the right thing to do. After all, I was in there to eat. I was given a menu and duly ordered my food. Ordered a very standard chicken dish which was swimming in oil!! Most unappetizing. Never, the less I managed to fish the meat from the oil. I then had to ask for a serviette/napkin as I wasn't provided with one. Then, realizing I was thirsty I noticed I hadn't been brought the drink I ordered. Admittedly, it was only a glass of water! Eventually I got the bill and asked the waiter if the service was always like this. He answered "we are very busy tonight and we get many people in all the time". That's absolutely no excuse as far as I'm concerned. And I will not be visiting here again in a hurry (if at all) Try other restaurants in the area except if the cost of a cheap meal out-weighs receiving poor service. Probably good student standard.

Once again the food and service was fantastic, This restaurant is not like your typical curry house, Their menu is a variety of Indian, pakistani and Bangladeshi modern cooking with empathising on sea food.

This small restaurant on two floors - ground and basement - serves excellent French food at ridiculously inexpensive prices. Even the wine list has gentle mark ups!

Absolutely gobsmackingly chop-licking food. For ex-HongKongers who miss good homecooking. The chilli sauce which may be supplied on request is more-ishly sweet, then tangy then wham-bam-kick on the tongue. Every dish excels and I'll watch the weight creep on as I eat my way through the menu. My personal favourite - the wonderful Hainan chicken rice is reminiscent of the Malaysian hawker markets with a pungent raw garlic finish to the additional side-sauce. You see the ravenous homesick overseas students, the romantic lovers, the sophisticated morsel-tasters, pallid office-workers, busy Holborn executives, bored housewives, note-taking critics all here for their fix of Oriental food. You get service with personality here from the friendly attentive all-female staff. Pricewise the cost is more than normal but the dishes are almost double-size, they are great value overall. Heavenly! Go now.

Incredibly large plates of food. I couldn't eat 3/4 of mine. It was quite tasty, I love their beancurd dishes all covered in sauce. The vegetarian fried rice is also yummy with sesame oil drizzled through. I'd recommend it for work-dos.

More expensive than the many cheap'n'cheerful Italian restaurants around and off the beaten track - so you'll have to make an effort. But well worth that effort. Outstanding food and very friendly, family atmosphere. Will definitely be back.
