La Roma Restaurant – Bolton5 STAR ***** We have been going La Roma now for about a year. We love eating here and love the Wine even more. Their food is always prepared beautifully and tastes amazing strongly recommend any sea food, pasta dishes and strongly recommend the house Red. The prices are very reasonable and if you become a regular like us they offer stamps with discount for next visit. We live near by and love the location of the Restaurant with the Bridge over the River. Also we enjoy sitting round after the meal near the fire in the bar area. Most of the staff are Italian, they all make you feel welcome and provide brilliant service. You must Go Go Go !!! Kind Regards Andy & Jen
La Roma Restaurant – Boltonabsoulute rubbish worst eating establishment ever
Hot Chilli – BoltonBeen here 3 times with friends and we just hoping that it is going to improve. I think it has now had the final chance. Starters are good, as are the deserts. Unfortunately the mains let the menu down IMO. Unless you go for a steak, which are usually pretty good, On some of the mains it is pretty obvious that they have reduced the portion size in order to sell more courses. This the only restaurant where i can eat 3 courses. Anywhere else 2 courses and I'm done. The service can be poor, as in separate components of everyone's mains arriving minutes apart, instead of all at the same time. Our friends - who live in Bromley Cross - and ourselves will be looking elsewhere in future.
Hot Chilli – BoltonFabulous restaurant. Food is of the highest quality and just as important, the staff are first class and are a credit to the restaurant Dined here on many occasions, whether it be a quite meal with my partner or a larger group celebration and have had a wonderful evening everytime... The only problem you may have is choosing which of the many delicious sounding dishes to choose from. Although i highly recommend the chicken livers for starter and duck for main.
La Roma Restaurant – Boltonit was are first visit and we can say it was one of the best meals we have had for a long time. The service was very good and had time for you even though it was very busy, the prices are a bit expensive but we went for a birthday treat and after having the meal it was not a concern to us. We travelled from accrington and we will definitely be going back again...
San Marino – BoltonIt was my 14 year old son who suggested this restaurant and am rather glad he did. The inside was very inviting, with an open contemporary feel. The service was good, as we tend to take a while over our order, Hasan - the manager, to our starter order and took our main meal order a few minutes later. The food was excellent...our kids, 14 and 6, really enjoyed their food, with my son choosing the best meal with Chicken Tikka Shahee, spiced minced lamb wrapped in chicken tikka...gorgeous! Menu has all the favourites however the specials drew in my tastebuds!!! These specials are also included in the Mon-Thurs offer....unlike some othr places in Farnworth. Hasan was eager to please and more than happy to take on board any advice to make Indigo more inviting. I'd definately advise anyone I know to give Indigo a try....even if it's just a take out or delivery. I'd like to wish Good Luck to Hasan and all his staff on their new restaurant....well done!!!
Indigo Restaurant – BoltonWent last night for a family meal. It's changed quite a bit since I last dined their. Excellent value £150 for 6 of us including 3 courses wine and drinks, nice ambience. The starters were good if just a little small. The mains were excellent good sized portions, the steaks were enjoyed by all and the pork belly nice and moist. A nice selection of desserts. Would definitely recommend to others. And look forward to going again over the summer months.
The Chetham Arms – BoltonWe keep on going back to the best Italian in the Manchester area. No point in going to any other Italian when we have this gem on our doorstep.
La Roma Restaurant – BoltonGreat place to dine for choice of food, friendliness as a couple, or as a group. Lovely surroundings and plenty parking.
La Roma Restaurant – BoltonWe attended as a group of eighteen on Saturday 10th April 2010 to celebrate a friend's 30th birthday. The restaurant was extremely busy at the time with people waiting on the stairs leading to the bottom floor and all along the entrance as clearly the establishment had not turned people away. As the entire party of friends had not arrived by 8.00pm we were not allowed to sit at the table, place drink orders and neither were we given menus. By 8.15pm our table had been given away and we were then seated on the bottom floor. When our drinks arrived, to our disgust we found a dead wood lice in the jug of Mango Lassi drink. What was even more appalling was the response we received from the waiter who was obviously not disturbed by the event. His response was "S***" and "these things happen!". We then had to inform the floor manager who gave a shuffled apology and replaced the drink. The evening got worse as our orders arrived almost two hours late and even then we had to complain twice to chase up the orders. Having been seated by 8.30pm our food was placed in front of us at 10.45pm! Not once did the staff give us any information as to when our orders were likely to be with us. Neither did we receive any sort of an apology for the less than dissatisfying service. Our orders came partially wrong and again was bought to the attention of the waiter who was not in the slightest interested to rectify the situation as he was clearly too busy. Unfortunately the owner was unable to deal with the complaints effectively and was more concerned with where the wood lice originated from! To remedy the situation he offered to deduct a measly fifty pounds off the bill of three hundred pounds, which really was an insult to the way we had been treated. To make matters worse Mr______ did not offer any apology for the events of the evening or accept that the matter could have been handled better. Had the situation occurred at a more upmarket establishment in Manchester the outcome would have been totally different. What began as a happy occasion turned out to be a complete "Sizzling"? disaster.
Sizzling Palate Restaurant – BoltonVery good value restaurant, we just live round the corner so we are very frequent dinners, staff are very attentive and meals are delicious! Highly recommend
La Roma Restaurant – BoltonWonderful place, fantastic food, service very good, the surroundings are very Italian. A pleasure to visit...... typical friendly Italian hospitality.
La Roma Restaurant – BoltonCoffee OK, sandwiches nothing special. Parking difficult, off a very busy roundabout, and elderly may struggle to walk up the very steep hill. If its to eat in...much prefer The Retreat 1 minute away on Chorley New Road. If its to find something a bit different as an ingredient, its OK. But I'll stick to M and S for my parma ham thanks.
Delicieux – BoltonHave been to Nam Ploy, but the cuisine is not Thai, more like chinese, i was very dissapointed.
Nam Ploy – BoltonEXCELLENT PRIDE OF BOLTON IT IS!! WILL BE BACK!
Indigo Restaurant – Boltoni have been to sunar gaw many times and the friendly staff make you feel so welcome.... the food is amazing and cheap. all my family love it
Sunar Gaw – BoltonMe and my missus decided on giving Madison`s a try one Saturday night. We went without booking and the place was packed out but luckily they had a table for us. The interior was very modern and people in the place where dress from smart to casual After looking on the menu we both were spoilt for choice, we liked everything on it. Prices were very reasonable and a lot cheaper than most places in Bolton. It took us around 20 minute to narrow it down to 3 mains each, at the end I went for the lemon sole Al Normandy with prawns mussels in a garlic cream sauce and it was to die for, It was so fresh and tasty superbly, I'm a very big eater and takes a lot to fill my appetite, but the portion was huge, I had to leave some. My missus went for the pork fillet and she said it was so tender and juicy. Along with our mains we ordered chips and we couldn't believe to amount of chips there were on the plate, there was about double the amount you would normally get and they were fat cut ones my favourite ones. We both had starters but wish we didn`t because we were so full we didn`t have room for deserts. Definitely a 10 out of 10
