I agree with Duncan. The fish was huge, the chips real, the tartare sauce homemade and the best I've ever had, and the mushies had some sort of spices/flavourings but the chef wouldn't tell us his secret.

The Brew house falls in the gastro pub category for sure and in my opinion is 1 of the best examples in the area. With the resurgence in gastro pubs over the past few years, it’s difficult to stand out from the crowd, but The Brew House certainly does stand out for the following reasons: - The food is amazing! I had the beer battered fish and chips with mushy peas and tarter source. The portions are hearty as they should be in a gastro pub and everything was made from scratch Inc the Hand cut chips, fresh tarter source and the most amazing mushy peas. For desert I had the wild berry cheesecake which was fantastic and light and the base nice and crunchy. - I'm not one for real ales and bitters, but the micro brewery is very impressive and a nice back drop whilst sat eating your meal. - Most of the menu seems locally sourced, seasonal and made to order. The head chef even found time to come to our table to see how we found the food. All in all, the Brew House is one of the best gastro pubs I have ever been to and is well worth a visit. Enjoy.

This is one of our restaurants and proves you don't have to travel far to find the best! This restaurant has a great ambience,fantastic service and good food.We've had several meals at this restaurant and can honestly say we have never been disappointed.

Have just visited this local restaurant for the first time and was not disappointed. The staff are extremely welcoming and the service we received was great. The meal we had was wonderful and we have already been again. This restaurant deserves all the praise and is up there with the best restaurants in Manchester. We could not fault it and glad we have found this little gem.

Excellent chippy with friendly staff.

Firstly, i would like to say that the staff & management, at La Roma were fantastic, and gave a very personalised service. Secondly, the food, was amazing. With the preconceptions that it would be just like other Italian restaurant, the pasta was gorgeous, and the "La Roma" Pizza, which includes EVERYTHING, was a good choice, and executed in style. We will be going back time after time, and look forward to booking the Xmas party. Nice touch with the Ducati in the bar too!!

My 2nd review of La Roma in 6 months because it's so good. We just can't stop going back to La Roma, lovely surroundings, friendly staff and superb food and drink. Bring on our next visit.

I went to la roma on a quiet Monday evening for my nans 85th birthday and the staff were amazing. They found out about the birthday and couldn't do enough for us. We took a cake with us which they kindly concealed until the end of the meal when they brought it out singing happy birthday. My nan was made up by all the fuss which in turn made my night, not to mention the great food and a very reasonable bill at the end. An amazing night had by all! Thank you.

A wonderful friendly Italian restaurant in a great location. The food is fantastic and great value. Kids are welcome and well looked after. Once you visit, you will keep on going back.

The best curries etc in the northwest.Staff are fantastic and even kitchen staff very friendly.The restaurant is lovely and clean and the menu is superb.I can`t risk going anywhere else

My wife and myself have returned to Chinese Delight on several occasions and have always had excellent service, the attention to detail has been first class every time. Over attentiveness or first class service - I would say "First class Service" . Always fresh ingredients,never rushed, the table is ours for the night,always last to leave. Booked for last sitting New years eve, see you there.

I've been here quite a few times and have always experienced great service and food. The staff will go out of their way to accommodate special requests. I have recommended it to friends and family and will continue to do so!

Having enjoyed many an evening at La Roma when it was located at Chapeltown Road Edgworth I was delighted to find out that they were still in business. Nothing had changed apart from the location, the service was spot on as was the food. The menu had all the Italian dishes which you would expect plus some more unusual ones, a hidden gem that is well worth a visit.

Lovely place to eat out. Excellent food, friendly, welcoming staff and a comfortable ,relaxing environment. The Morrocan Lamb is delicious and they do a great Sunday roast too, though your probably best booking at weekend as it gets very busy.

This was a culinary delight! My boyfriend and I called in for a quick lunch, and were so pleased we went back for dinner the following evening. As regular travellers to Italy we were highly impressed by the quality of food and service on offer. I cannot recommend this restaurant more highly! Stafano and his team made every effort to ensure we enjoyed our evening, despite not having a prior booking on a very busy evening! The wine menu has a lovely range, whether you want to splash out or just have the house (white & red are both great!) but mostly we recommend the Diano d'Alba, which needs a little time to breathe but is amazing on the palate! Try to save room for a starter, main and dessert, and you will not be disappointed!!!

La Roma is the best place to eat out in the area. Can't name the number of times we've eaten there now - I've lost count! The children are always made really welcome and the teddy bear shaped pizza is a firm favourite with my children. The service is really friendly and the food is good value. The house wine is also excellent. Highly recommended.
