Prashad Restaurant is going places... Head Chef, the famous Mrs. P. has,for the third year running, landed a mention in The Which Good Food Guide! Only the Top 1000 restraurants in the country are listed, so WELL DONE Prashad! Managed at front of house by Mr.P.and son Bobby it is very much a family affair. The family are passionate about the "refreshing blend of Gujarati, Punjabi and south Asian vegetarian" food in which they specialise. "Mrs. P. learned her skills from her grandmother and she is passing on her culinary secrets to and daughter- in- law Minal. Mrs.P has gained many awards, including the national South Asian Chef Competition and Yorkshire Forward's Chef of the Year titles. So runs a recent article in The Yorkshire Post." We are so proud to call this talented and hardworking family our friends, and it is great to see Prashad go from strengh to strengh.

While we were visiting my sister-in-law and her husband, we came here for our lunch on Saturday. I had the vegetable crumble with cheese on top. It was simply divine. The accompanying salad was absolutely scrumptious. I am a vegetarian so I have a pretty good idea about vegetarian dishes. This café is certainly a gem. I look forward to our next visit north.

All i can say that sums the blue sky up is Fantastic !! Everything about the place is fab, Great quiet atmosphere, You do not under no means feel rushed (As you do in some places) The staff are super,the food " Now That You Have Got To Sample " TASTY & PLENTY TO CHOOSE FROM, Keep It Up Blue Sky !!

Went to the Greyhound Inn Bank holiday Monday (25 August). We hadn't booked but managed to get the last table. Service was very quick and the waitress was very friendly and helpful. The steak and ale pie was fantastic as was the pork roast. The portion sizes were quite big but it was so nice I had to try and clear my plate. All in all fantastic food and fantastic service.

Whenever we visit my in-laws in Bradford, we make a point to visit the Prashad and we look forward to dining there. The food is simply heavenly and it is not a surprise as the award-winning chef makes a point of praying to the Divinity before commencing the cooking. In fact, I have been told that Prashad is a Sanskrit word which means sanctified food and boy, it tastes as if the gods themselves have had a hand in its production. With such an attitude to the serving of meals at Prashad, it is not a wonder that eating there is a great joy and sheer pleasure. I love the pani puri, the masala dosa and the ildi ssambar to name a few of the dishes that I choose when we go there. I can highly recommend eating there.

Fantastic Indian restaurant- the food is wonderful and the staff are only too happy to help you. Their lamb off the bone and chicken tikka is outstanding. They allow you to bring your own wine as well- always a bonus! Also no forks are given so be prepared to eat with your hands- all of which adds to the experience! For any Indian fans out there this place is a must.

I was on holiday visiting my sister and brother-in-law. They took us to this vegetarian café. I had the vegetable and goat’s cheese flan. It was simply the most delicious flan I have ever tasted. Although I am not vegetarian, I am certainly looking forward to my next visit here.

It is fair to say this is the best restaurant I've ever been to. Not only is the food absolutely fantastic, the service they have to offer is outstanding. I've been eating at Prashad now for two years and will continue to visit as dining there has become part of my religion as so many of my other friends who also visit on regular occasions. The food that I strongly recommend if you decide to visit prashad (you would be a foolish not to) are the 'Chole' 'Bhel Supreme' and the Corn Rolls to name a few. The restaurant is also Vegan and Ayurvedic friendly. I strongly urge you to visit this little wonder as I'm sure you will agree live wouldn't be the same without them. 10/10. Keep up the good work!!

I have eaten in many chineses throughout the world and have to say the Kings is one of my favourites. I live locally to it and try and eat here whenever possible. The banquet is the absolute best in choice and value for money and the service is always excellent. I have never had a bad experience here and have been more times than I would like to admit to.

I'll be honest - I LOVE my meat and fish. When Baz took me to the door of this place, I read the sign above the restaurant - (Vegetarian) - and thought "oh no.." So it is with great surprise that I say the food was tasty, filling and thoroughly satisfying. But here's the kicker...the people who run this place are, quite possibly, among the friendliest on the entire planet, no joke! Will I freely go back and do without again? Of course. Do I recommend this place, even to totally partisan meat-eaters? Absolutely. Go on, give it go - you'll be shocked at the experience.

Hi , my name is jay,and i have recently found this wonderful vegetarian restaurant, located in bradford. I know a lot about indian vegetarian cooking, as i come from an Indian family,and i used to be a Hindu monk , and cooked for the monks regularly. The food you will find in this amazing little place , is out of this world,and i would recommend all of you to try the award winning cuisine at least once, "you won't regret it". when i had my first meal there , i not only felt very satisfied with the taste of the food, but felt inspired and uplifted too. Due to my previous spiritual training ,i can understand the reason was that the cooks are very spiritual and devoted people,and therefore everything is very clean and attractive. when i went to sunrise the food was shit all the guys were chatting me up and their was a mustache hair in ma food and illegal immigrants were serving or shall i say observing me!!! it was awful!!!!!

Recently visited this pub for an evening meal. The food here is excellent, freshly bought and prepared, even do home made chips! The menu is varied and has something to suit everyone's taste. We have also been for Sunday lunch, variety of meats and again plenty of fresh vegetables. I would recommend this pub for good quality home made food that is above average at a reasonable cost.

Discovered this place by accident and so glad I did! Their char grill selection is outstanding and the best lamb chops I have ever tasted. Helpful staff and chilled out atmosphere.

My vegan friends in Shipley took me to this lovely vegetarian café in Thornton. I had a cheese enchilada with a gorgeous salad to accompany it. The chocolate cake was simply delicious. I am not vegetarian but I shall certainly come here again.

I was visiting my friends in Shipley and they took me to this great vegetarian eating place in Thornton. All three of us had the vegetable crumble and it was simply yummy. The side salad was a work of mouth-watering art. I am very partial to coconut and as the desserts menu had pineapple and coconut cake listed on it, I naturally ordered it. And I am glad I did as it was delicious. I am not vegetarian and I have also run a café of my own previously, so when I say this is a brilliant little café, it’s because I do know the café business and know what I am talking about.

We recently visited Prashad as my sister is a vegan and I love my Indian food. As some other writers have said previously, don't let the surrounding area put you off!! The food is so much different from anything else I have tasted before that it was all we could talk about for the next few days. To be perfectly honest, I couldn't even tell you half of the things I ate but what I will say is that the taste was fresh and very more-ish. My daughter found some of the tastes a little too strange for her palette but I would simply say go and try this place and make up your own mind. The chef also came into the restaurant to say hello to everyone which I have not experienced for a long time. I'll certainly be going again!!
