Great beer, excellent food, and pork scratchings to die for!

Came to lunch with friends a couple of weeks ago and it was excellent. Food was lovely and coming again this week.

Where to begin? A historic pub of epic proportions (600 years old!) the staff told me that the building used to be a court house, meeting place amongst other things before settling on being a pub. The staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant has plenty to choose from whether your stopping by for a BLT on locally freshly made bread. Or a more filling homemade steak and ale pie. There's also free wi/fi which is fast (so many other places have bandwidth hogs!) on my iphone. I can't recommend this place enough!

I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone with good taste in fine cuisine! Excellent choice of dishes, with a strong focus on local produce. Friendly and attentive staff...lovely logs fires in winter!!
