Superb food at a really nice, welcoming pub. Somerset is well blessed with decent pubs, but this is right up there with the best.

Good food great service. Monday buffet recommended and the goan fish curry is awesome!

My friend took me here for lunch a couple of weeks ago and I've gone back twice since. It's got a fantastic atmosphere, friendly and efficient staff, beautiful setting, fine wines and most importantly a great range of gorgeous, fresh and tasty food!! 10/10 at every visit. I'm looking forward to going back with my family, as a mother of a 5yr old I find it difficult to find a decent place to eat that suits him too. Not only does the children's menu have proper food, not fish fingers and chicken nuggets! But it's also equipped with a lovely park outside and a kids room inside that has toys for the little ones and PlayStation's and an x box for my older boys!! I would recommend this place over and over again!

Chef John Melican is inspired to bring out the very best in superb produce sourced in the surrounding area. The ambiance is great, the decor is quite special. Everyone seems to be agreed that Archangel is a great addition to Frome.

Moved away from Frome 18 months ago. What do we miss ? The wonderful food ,really authentic italian food,cooked by Luigi and served by Sue his lovely friendly wife,who delights you by giving mouth watering details of items on their menu.We celebrated our ruby anniversary there with 28 family and friends.Wonderful,the letters from our guests of how much they enjoyed the food and the lovely surroundings. Our best wishes to Luigi and Sue and see you again soon.

we been to this Chinese restaurant and we don't go any where else anymore. Everythings is so great,try it you know what i meant. Going there again this weekend!!!! can't wait.

I have just spent the evening eating exquisite food with solid silver cutlery, drinking a quality wine from crystal cut glasses, in a 5 star setting. What more could you ask for an evening out.

Lovely country pub/restaurant with a great atmosphere. Cosy with an open fire. Lovely food - delicious! Reasonable prices.

I caught sight of a sign for the pub whilst driving out for a Sunday lunch to another pub someone had recommended to me, the look of the logo etc tempted me to take the turn off to the Mill. I was glad I did, this is a really cool gastro pub with tons of outside seating next to a river. Inside the decor was very nice, modern but sensitive to its original features. The bar was brilliantly stocked with unusual world beers, guest real ales and premium spirits. The staff were uniformed and very friendly. The menu was right up my street, I ordered an Erdinger beer and a Sunday roast which arrived very quickly and was perfectly cooked-delicious fresh veg and big Yorkshire to go with the excellent beef. I had never heard of this place before, they cant do much in the way of promotion or advertising as I eat out all the time and always hunt for these kind of places but I will re visit at the earliest opportunity and recommend to others.

The reception I received was warm and welcoming. I didn't book a table but was seated with a drink and placed my order. When the table became vacant I was seated and served with my meal freshly cooked. What a nice surprise in this day and age. The service was excellent with a friendly but unobtrusive staff. I shall definitely visit again.

Serve great veggie food. Lovely garden out of the way to sit in when it's sunny. Sometimes have live music and poetry. Defiantly not a 'greasy spoon'!

The food was fresh and the menu had a good variety of food, carvery excellent value. Worth breaking your journey on the A36 to eat there
