I have been going to GIGI's in Glastonbury for well over 20 years. My children have grown up eating there and I took my wife on one of our first dates there. Why ? Simply the nicest pizzas ever, especially their garlic pizza. We love GiGi'S.. Service is great and the waitors are always friendly. They even gave me a box of Peroni glasses once. Please don't ask them for some. I have been going for over 20 years, it was my birthday!

My wife took me for my birthday. Cost a lot of money for food that was clean but not exciting. It may just be me but the Indian restaurant across the road would have been equally veggie and much more tasty at a quarter the price. Sorry but consider moving to Clifton.

I loved it, had an amazing night and Penny the hostess was fantastic and really made the whole experience very enjoyable. Undoubtedly the best vegetarian restaurant in the south west. They are very committed to using the best ingredients, locally sourced and organic where possible!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

This cafe / restaurant serves the best vegetarian food ever ! No doubt about it. Seriously, excellent ! The owners however, are not so excellent. It seems a pity that they themselves are not vegetarians, I know this because I asked them. They often readily imply or even say that they are vegetarians. I find this most offensive. Not only are they not vegetarian, but the main woman (Penny) is into fox hunting…..Seems unbelievable to me, a bit of a contradiction in terms. Penny seems to be a wonderful, humorous, light hearted, and extremely likeable person at first, be assured, she is NOT ! I have found her to be an ignorant, judgmental, and incredibly grudge bearing woman, who will never apologize no matter how wrong she frequently turns out to be. She really hurts her friends, myself included. Also, she is a devastating snob. If she thinks you’re important in some way, you’re ‘in’…..but, needless to say this is short lived when she realizes you are just the same as anybody else. Then she’ll almost certainly turn on you, and you’ll end up being ‘out’ ! As I said earlier, food is brilliant, but keep yourself to yourself re-Penny and you’ll be OK, getting to know her is a different matter ! Rather stay anon if you don’t mind…..

My wife and I discovered the Apple Tree in 1986 on holiday from the States, and returned in 1987 and 1996! We enjoyed the atmosphere and the good value. We are visiting this year and it's on our itinerary!

Landlord Andy Jones and his team have created the holy grail of good pubs - great ambience, friendly service, and good fresh food well presented and mouth wateringly good. If you're driving past, don't. Do yourself a favour and stop for a very palatable lunch or dinner - and don't forget to admire the multi-tasking coffee machine!

Lion At Pennard The – Glastonbury
Endothebar

We don't often eat out, but this place is worth a try. Unpretentious public house, with a good local trade, but the food is not the usual "boil-in-a-bag" stuff. We have eaten the (surprisingly good) baguettes with unusually imaginative fillings, fish and chips (it's almost next door to a self-styled "award winning" fish and chip shop), and we have eaten Christmas day lunch here too, which was not as expensive as many pub/restaurants would charge, and better than any other I have sampled. try it. You'll love it.
