Captains Cabin – Weston Super MareHi Tony I am only acquainted as a brewer- they stock a couple of our beers. My review is based on one evening that my partner and I really enjoyed there, when the beer I was drinking was £2 a half . Why don't you ask them directly about where they source their cheeses ? That would put an end to the speculation. Regards
Culture and Cure – BathTotem, I'm curious how "most" of the cheeses could be sourced from Neal's Yard when Neal's Yard doesn't even carry several of the cheeses on the board (some being exclusive to Pong). Also their house beer must be the only beer there at 2.00 per half pint. I was charged well in excess of 3.00 for a half a pint of Magic Rock Rapture (4.6) which is nowhere near the 9 abv you suggest. Am I right in thinking you're actually an friend/employee of Culture and Cure?
Culture and Cure – BathOur new favourite ! We had some lovely cheeses ( I asked the owner , and most are sourced from Neals Yard), and some of the really beers are £3 a half but that was for a 9 beer! I also tried a delicious half of their own beer which was £2 a half. We also ordered the salmon and beef from The British Tapas menu , which was gorgeous. Well done - we will be back with friends.
Culture and Cure – BathAn impressive opening selection of craft beer and drinks but be warned the prices in their menu are not what you will be charged (2.00 per 1/2 pint listed in the menu, in reality well over 3.00). There is also a very high mark-up on bottles.Their cheeses are priced at 5.50 each (per tranche) which exceeds even prices in central London gastro-bars/specialist cheese cafes (e.g. Antidote, Androuet). This might be defendable if the sourcing/affinage were exceptional but as far as I can tell most of their cheese just come from Pong which you can order yourself online for a fraction of the price.
Culture and Cure – BathI was able to book and my friend and I enjoyed a great evening. The staff were very friendly, but of more importance, the meal was excellent. I would recommend it to all. Best wishes. Tom Adams
Sousta Greek Taverna – CongresburyWent there on their first weekend. Like nothing else in Bath. Loads of personality. I really can't praise them enough for the quality of food, cooking and friendliness. I hope they can keep it up. Highly Recommended.
Culture and Cure – BathReally nicely decorated, love the food and service was superb.
Bella Vista – Bristol City CentreI visited the restaurant two days ago. Very well presented and views from the windows were amazing..really nice food and service. Definitely will come back.
Bella Vista – Bristol City CentreBoth me and my husband ordered gammon. Value for money! 2 for 1. Lovely food, quick service. Thank you!
The Albion – PortisheadHalf way through our meal me and my son went to the lavatory to find two RATS...YES RATS darting away from us on approach....This venue should either be shut down immediately or immediate action taken to address its faults. This was mentioned to another member of staff who admitted this is an on-going problem...Management (If you can call them that) here are diabolical, absolute no concern or regard for there customers, service was chaotic, food came out warm and looked as if it had been pre-cooked then re-heated. We never got allocated a member of staff to our table, so we didn't have that personal customer experience, but we instead had to deal with members of staff ourselves on many occasions, who in my own opinion are un-trained and seem to have got thrown in the deep hand. When it came to ordering cocktails we had to experience this first hand once again with not one member of staff knowing how to make a Cosmopolitan from memory, this does not look professional for such a commonly asked drink! Either the company is doing badly financially or just cashes in on every opportunity they can, while neglecting their own staff to save costs.
The Brass Pig – CliftonDear Sir, My friend and I last evening came to the Wishing Well at about 7.00 pm. We were happy to find plenty of clean tables, when we sat at table 35 choose our food. I went to the bar when there was just one pleasant member of bar staff serving she was coping very well with the crowd of people at the bar. The after about five minutes she was joined by another pleasant young man. Who when it was my turn to be severed took my order for food and supplied the ordered drinks. After about 20 – 35 minutes and with other people being served who had ordered after us. We asked the young man where our order was. He went to find out after much looking at the till and checking with the manager and the kitchen staff he went about his business. He then brought out more orders while obviously ignoring us. After 15 minutes I went up to him and asked what was going on. He avoided all eye contacted with me and did say anything. So I said to him our order hasn’t been processed has it to which he agreed and then said it is on the way as he been finding out what happened. The thing that upset me so much is I expect that mistakes happen and no one wants things like this to happen, but for good customer service and just respect to people the young man only had to come to us ant tell us what was happening. When he brought the food which was lovely and when he came to check with us on either of these occasions did not he apologise. I have worked in catering as had my fiend we met while training as chefs, and still work in customer service the first thing to do is acknowledge the problem and say sorry. Also the manager must have seen me going to the young man and taking him to task, when I went to speak to him when it was obvious he knew what was happening I told him all he need to do was to come across to us and explain what was happening. Also it was obvious that the staff had been discussing us and when we left the pleasant young lady looked our way and when I made eye contact with her she looked away. For good customer service she could have apologised and we would have left happy, all that happened is we left disappointed and will tell people that the food is lovely but the staff have no customer skills.
The Wishing Well – Longwell GreenFriends say the restaurant is wonderful
Sotto Sotto – BathGood food great service. Monday buffet recommended and the goan fish curry is awesome!
Jhalmuri – FromeDue to not being able to take a holiday to any of the Greek Islands, i had searched for a local Greek restaurant. Was excited to go to Opa on my birthday. A beautiful setting and some friendly staff but i am just sorry that the food didnt live up to my expectations. I have eaten in a few Greek restaurants and the quality of food was no where near the same standard. The meat seemed to be processed and the taste of some dishes seemed over cooked. It was very quiet and my partner and i were the only customers the entire evening. The service was ok but not overly friendly or accommodating. A real shame, as my partners first time experiencing Greek food....its almost put him off.

George’s Fish Bar – Bristol City CentreWe have used this Restaurant for many years. Jimmy and his family run the business superbly. Very friendly staff, the service is wonderful and the food is to die for. The ambiance is lovely with soft lighting, not too soft that you can't see what you are eating though. A nice selection of wines, lovely coffee. I would so recommend this Awesome eating establishment to anybody. Their take-away service is very good too. Go on... Treat yourselves!
