Terrible food, terrine was bits of meat on a plate, scallops so small, hake was ok, steak asked for medium rare it was cremated, lad who served was lovely, was sold bottle of wine to be able to take in ‘their’ bar after, walked in the bar to be greeted by a very rude bar member saying we could not drink it in there, my partner was going to order a lager we had paid for the bottle of wine, perhaps there been only us in there was a sign

Website undersells this somewhat. The dining room nicely furnished and bright - website shows the bar . Excellent quality food, competitively priced. Relaxed service. We ate at 1800 hrs Sunday so the room was quite (no complaints there) Around £60 for two main meals, two puddings and drinks. All staff cheerful and ready to help.

Great meal - usual favourites (prawn cocktail, scallops, scampi, mussels) but all done very well. Excellent service.

3 nights in Brixham and we wasted one eating here when so many decent restaurants are closeby. Chosen on the basis of reviews and what they purported to do with lots of local fresh fish etc! Be prepared to be disappointed, it does not live up to the hype! Very very expensive for what was dished up. Despite being in this location the scallops were clearly frozen and poorly cooked. The bream was a well cooked piece of fish but served with a totally inappropriate plateful of poorly cooked flavourless mixed vegetables. I could not believe that our bill was £1 more than the excellent meal we had enjoyed the night before. The staff were pleasant and friendly but lacked training. I am sorry but where all those good reviews come from I have no idea. Friends perhaps!

Lovely food , tastefully presented and served by friendly staff.

Had a lovely ‘socially distanced’ meal here on Tuesday evening. Tables have screens between them, it felt very safe and comfortable. Very quiet but young man attending our table was delightful and very attentive. The food was gorgeous, steak was perfectly cooked. Highly recommended.

We stayed on Sunday the 25th of October the staff were so kind and helpful from the moment we arrived. Temp check taken on arrival so felt very safe. The Evening meals was delicious and the breakfast was just as good can't wait to come back.

Had a very good meal here.everything was nicely cooked and well presented. The staff were friendly and efficient. We had our temperature taken on arrival and the tables were well separated and screened.this was our second visit to the hotel,last time we stayed and the breakfast was good too. Would recommend we hope to return soon.

Had a really lovely meal at Quayside with my family for my birthday. The food was excellent and reasonable in price. The Goats cheese tart was delicious and the sticky toffee pudding was the best I've ever had! The restaurant is stylish. The staff are very friendly, professional and welcoming. Felt very safe with screens between tables. Temperature took on arrival. Hand gel and Qr code to scan and the staff wore visors. We will definitely be back again! Highly recommend!!

We booked for a meal on the Saturday, I had monkfish with tempura prawns, my husband had hake, both meals were absolutely fantastic, and the desserts were lovely as well. We enjoyed it so much, that we booked again for the next evening, and shared the seafood platter with lobster, crab prawns etc. Excellent no wonder they have such a good name for superb food. Can't wait to go again when next in the area.

We had 2 delicious dinners during our stay at the Quayside with particular highlights being a sweet potato and coconut soup, garlicy shell-on prawns, rump of lamb and especially a whole baked sea bass, very fresh and delicious. Breakfasts were equally good and the staff uniformly helpful and charming. Thanks everyone!

Booked an evening meal in the restaurant as staying the evening in the hotel itself. Good social distancing with screens between tables. Good choice of food Good service by both the two waiting staff members Would recommend

Excellent food and service .

Booked this restaurant due to reviews and hotel description. Firstly the restaurant does not overlook the harbour, it's on a hill above the harbour and faces a wall. We must have been unlucky with our food as my husband's plaice was mushy and my lamb was half fat and blood (ok if you like it like that I guess). The staff were indeed super friendly and the tables are separated by screens but we didn't have our temperatures taken on arrival as other customers did.
