Is our local pub but have never eaten here before. Food is of a very good quality and service is good. Have a reasonable choice for Gluten Free etc which is a + Would recommend

Lovely food, good service and lively atmosphere. Service was attentive. Reasonable price and good quality menu. Not sure about the outside beer garden. Feel sorry for the neighbours with the noise. Overall very good.

First visit since renevations. Nice decor. Staff friendly. Food was very good, nice portion, hot, tasted fresh and full of flavour.

As far as a local restaurant goes this is one of the best. The food is quality from local suppliers and the service is from friendly smiling staff You can’t go wrong booking a table here

Took a punt on this pub yesterday, since my normal Sunday lunch venue is currently under going renovations. Was very impressed, will certainly be back. Lamb and pork roasts were very good. Gravy was exceptional!! Wait staff were without exception helpful and friendly. Even the 'on tap' martini cocktails were great. As I say will be back

My Sister and I had a roast dinner here on Sunday. We ate our meal in the Snug area. When we first went round there we thought we might be forgotten as we were the only ones round there, how wrong we were. The service was 1st class., the waitresses were all young girls and they were polite attentive and professional, better than we have had in very expensive restaurants we have been in. The food was sublime and the gravy was to die for, we will be back . Thank you for making this a wonderful experience. I would 100% recommend this pub. I would 100% recommend this pub

Second visit to the King Stag and it was delicious. I cannot fault this pub. Great friendly service, outstanding Sunday roast. I'll be back soon.

This pub is a lovely local space to share a meal or drinks with family and friends. The food was good although everything we ordered unfortunately was cold. Our waiter was very professional in sorting out the issue and provided a slight discount in our bill to recompense us. We would go back to give a second chance

Lovely Saturday evening for two of us and treats and water for Boots the dog. Great atmosphere, delicious food, nice wine timely and cheerful service and somlovely to be amongst people having a good time once again. A lovely dog-friendly local with a touch of class!

A lovely place for the family, including the dog. We were all made so welcome and really looked after. Great selection of drinks, especially the gins! The food was excellent - perfect for a Saturday lunch and we weren’t rushed at all.

Had a lovely lunch at the horse and chains on Sunday. Every course was absolutely delicious! Best roast I have had for a long time! Sat outside under canvas which kept us dry! Amazing friendly service. Thank you!

Had one of the best Sunday roasts (pork and lamb combo) for a long time. I know the team there take great care preparing for Sunday early in the week. It's well worth the extra investment. Team are also helpful and cheerful! thoroughly recommend!

Terrific burger as usual, friendly atmosphere and attentive staff. My 1st choice in town.
