King William IV – RoystonHad home-made fish finger ciabatta at lunch time with chips and salad… it was delicious! Friendly, excellent service and good value.
King William IV – RoystonExcellent food, Staff very friendly and helpful. Very nice cosy atmosphere. What else would you need ? Thank you for a very evening.
King William IV – RoystonFour of us came for a meal on Saturday evening, we have been before back in June and it was all very good. Unfortunately this time it wasn't as good, my brother in law had the steak but it was very chewy which was very disappointing, considering the cost. When our plates were collected he informed the waiter, who said he would mention it. When the bill arrived there was no compensation for the non-edible steak. We queried this with the waiter and he said he would go and ask, he obviously hadn't mentioned it when it was taken back to the kitchen. After about 10 minutes he came back and 50% has been taken off of the steak meal. There was no apology from a senior team member., it isn't cheap to eat here, so my experience didn't live up to my expectations. There was also a large screen at the other end of the bar where lots of cheering and shouting was going on. If we had wanted a rowdy football bar with inferior cuts of meat and mediocre customer service, we would have gone to a weatherspoons pub. Sadly, I won't be back
King William IV – RoystonHad an excellent meal on Friday evening the food was superb as was the service .The ambiance also excellent, we stayed the night and our room was very clean and warm. Breakfast the next morning was also superb and set us up for the day perfectly. The staff were warm and friendly and we would not hesitate to stay and eat here again when we are next in this direction. Very many thanks very highly recommended.
King William IV – RoystonGreat service Delicious food
King William IV – RoystonI was looking for a nice country pub for an evening meal. Food was amazing and the staff were lovely and friendly and I am really looking forward returning for another meal.
King William IV – RoystonService and atmosphere excellent Starter portion meagre: Main course So- So Going for Haut Cuisine? Fell Short!
King William IV – RoystonVery pleased with our recent visit. All five of us had Sunday lunch. Food was excellent, service excellent too. Will definitely be returning.
King William IV – RoystonHad a great 3 course lunch, food delicious, service super and excellent value.
King William IV – RoystonHad a ciabatta at lunch time with chips and salad it was sooo tasty, the staff was very friendly . We wanted to order a dessert with our main but got told to wait just in case we were full from our mains, I thought that was a nice touch as they didn’t want us to waist our money
King William IV – RoystonA lovely evening meal, really friendly and welcoming staff. We had fish and chips, and Eton mess. Batter in fish was quite thick and I would have liked more meringue in the dessert, but that’s just personal choice. Well cooked and presented and served in a timely manner. The Newsells Sparkling Wine is fabulous, well worth the £7.50 a glass. Reasonable prices. A lovely evening.
King William IV – RoystonExcellent friendly staff.
King William IV – RoystonWe went for lunch with 12 members of our lunch club. The food was good, the service was excellent and the staff looked after us beautifully and were very friendly. We will definitely come back.
King William IV – RoystonDelicious food and very good service. Portions huge so sadly had no space for puddings which sounded lovely. Apparently you can request smaller portions, so I'll definitely do that next time and have a pudding too! Beautiful setting, lovely decor inside and nice garden. Highly recommend
King William IV – RoystonGreat food: delicious pies with excellent pastry and tasty fillings; generous portions; well-cooked veg. Good value. Service was very good, attentive and efficient. The pub ambience was welcoming and friendly.
King William IV – RoystonWe spent a quiet Thursday evening at KW 1V in Heydon and had a great meal. The food was very good indeed - one of us had fish and chips, one spare ribs, and one the burger for mains: and we had a blueberry creme brulee and a brownie for dessert. Carol and her team were very welcoming, and the service was friendly without being intrusive. It's a shame that the recent history of the pub, from what we understand from locals, has been somewhat checkered: but Carol seems to have a grasp of things, and we wish her and her team well in building up the business.
