Awful experience, I will not being going back here again . The server was unprofessional, listening to personal conversations and involving herself this is not what I expected from a server . Food was cold and seemed to look and taste reheated portions were all different the warmest part was the plate . If I'm honest we couldn't wait to get out of there
Courts Cardiff – PenarthHaving visited the Barons Court for a couple of “Theme Nighs” and a couple of “ Sunday Lunches” I can highly recommend the quality of both food and service. The table service is provide by a young, enthusiastic team and the quality of fare presented is excellent. The ambience is unique and I feel extremely fortunate to live quite close to this restaurant.
Courts Cardiff – PenarthNice place, nice view, ok meal. would go there again but for the dogs allowed in the restaurant restaurant - not for us ! four /five dogs near our table. Maybe keep just one small section for dog and dog owners. this used to be unhygienic. what happened ?
Cionis Bistro and Pizzeria Restaurant – PenarthFood was disgusting, changed twice first time not cooked and second time came out cold, not good you could hear the kitchen staff messing about not good for business at all never come here again. Needs a good shake up.
Oyster Catcher – PenarthThis is our favourite place to go and eat as a family. It has a lovely atmosphere. Food is always very good. Staff are so friendly and always chatting/playing with our children. We love it!

Plassey Fish Bar – Penarthlovely place, open on st stephen's day to warm up after a brisk walk on the coastal path in penarth....homely and welcoming, worth another visit with the kids for the adjacent playground & place for them to use bikes /scooters.....
Cionis Bistro and Pizzeria Restaurant – PenarthMaybe ok for a coffee and a cake but not for a meal. So many rules here. If you want a meal from the snack menu you have to go to the counter yourself but if you want a meal from the main menu you have to wait for a waitress. The waitress that takes your drinks order can not take your meal order as this is done by another waitress!!!! The food is not excellent...even pie and chips looks bad on the plate as there were only around 12 chips to go with the pie!! More of a greasy joe's kind of place than and Italian Restaurant.

La Marina Restaurant – PenarthHave just moved to area and find the Jaflon one of the best Indian Restaurants I have been too. Food is excellent with a good variety and some very fine chefs specials. Service is outstanding. Give them a go if you find yourself hungry in Penarth, you wont be sorry
Jaflon – PenarthI am sad to say we had a dreadful experience at this restaurant. The food was overpriced and the staff rude. We were rushed to our table and were told several times we had to eat quickly as other people were coming in. Three out of our four starters were cold. We didn't say anything, as none of us has ever complained in a restaurant before and we simply hoped the main courses would be better. They weren't. Three of the four of us had steaks for our main courses, two of which, we discovered after a few mouthfuls, were inedible as they were pure fat. When we spoke to the waitress about this, she got the manager who came out and rather than apologising to us, argued the point and then walked off twice whilst we were trying to talk to him! The first occasion he walked off to go and retrieve our steaks from the bin to present to us to continue arguing that there was nothing wrong with them. I was entirely shocked. Never seen anything like it. Unbelievably poor service. Would never go back.
La Marina Restaurant – PenarthLa Marina - No Babies Please! We went Sunday for lunch. I took my 2-year-old but alas no high chair despite that when I booked the table for 4 I mentioned that the 4th member of our party was age 2. If they had mentioned that there was no chair I could have brought my portable one. Also no changing facility so I had to lie my baby on the floor in a toilet to change him which shocked a few of the other ladies in the WC saying that it was awful that I had to get on my knees to change him and he was on a cold hard and dirty floor. When I asked about both these issues I was told that the manager/owner isn't too fond of children and therefore doesn't want to encourage customers to bring them out for Sunday lunch so he doesn't provide anything for the parents as this may be seen as encouragement. Meal was very nice, the pudding I ordered never came and another table’s drinks were added to our bill, which they amended but I won't go back. I prefer to go somewhere on a Sunday that my whole family is welcome to go to, incidentally my 2 year old is a gem to have in a restaurant and isn't a fusspot. We have dines in some of the best restaurants in London, Newport and Cardiff with him with no trouble. Not having a high chair made it imposable for me to fully relax and enjoy my own meal despite the fact that it tasted nice it wasn’t worth the bother!

Jaflon – PenarthThis was the first time i had visited this restaurant. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. There is a vast menu to choose from, really spoilt for choice! The mussels were something to die for!!!!!!!!!! so good in fact i had two servings. The duck was mouth-watering and I would recommend this restaurant most highly.
Villa Napoli – PenarthI usually go every other week and the food is generally very good. But there have been a few occasions where the food and service have been very poor. They did however refund have of my money. My last visit was on 26/05/07 and the food and service were very good.
