The Hardwick – Abergavennyon our holiday to west wales we found the white hart thatched inn and brewery it was amazing the family which own it are so friendly the food is freshly cooked to order as you can see the chefs cook it in front of you in the open kitchen beer is also made there to a secret family recipe the 600 year old inn is like a museum in itself truly a step back in time my kids played for ages in the large gardens giving us time to look around and enjoy if ever you are lucky enough to be going to west wales i would recommend you stop yet again outstanding
White Hart Thatched Inn and Brewery, The – CarmarthenThe Gallery is a fantastic place. Food, wine, staff and atmosphere are all great- i'm yet to find a fault. The price of the food was always good value considering the ingredients used, (scallops, venison, etc, but since their recent change of menu in the summer it is now fantastic value for money. A superb 3 course meal for 2 with wine came to under £50. My favourite thing about the Gallery is the atmosphere and decor- it's a fantastic place to relax in. Wishing you all the best of luck for the future.
Gallery Restaurant Bar and Exhibition Space – Barrywe arrived and had to wait ages for a table, the staff seemed clueless, no management, the table was dirty, even though it was quiet. the food was returned because one meal was cold and the other was the wrong order. the other 2 customers in the pub seemed to be highly intoxicated. I was very disappointed.
The Farmers Arms – NewportFantastic food and excellent service! No complaints from this place as it has everything you would want in a pub. Opened as 2 for 1 which seems to be working pretty good, which I can vouch for! Starter, Main Course & Dessert were all fantastic and no complaints! Great family pub.
Pentre Gwilym House – CardiffAte here last night, best meal I've had in a long time, and I like good food! Hope to visit next week for my 50th birthday but I live in Bristol. Will try to get there though.
Mythos Restaurant – ChepstowDee must have gone to a completely different place than us. The garlic bread (1 tiny slice per portion) was burnt, the chips were like cardboard and the steaks only ok. We were the only customers in there, although a couple more arrived before we had finished. The owner took great pleasure in running down the local competition - not very professional and not very wise. We hadn't been in the restaurant for a number of years and doubt we will ever be returning. We certainly don't mind paying for good food, but there are restaurants in Newport where the food is much nicer and value for money better even if the overall price is higher (although even that is not always the case). Time to breathe new life into the decor and to boost your own reputation with excellent food and presentation rather than running down the competition. ciao.
Chez Giovanni Restaurant – NewportThe Abercrave is one of our favorite places to eat out. It ticks all the boxes for us and we use any excuse to go there. We have not tried the Sunday lunch there (yet!)but the evening meals are wonderful, plenty of choice and the desserts.....
Abercrave Inn – Swanseawe decided to try this pub as we have been going to the other pub in the village and were disappointed with the food. we had a burger which was obviously not home made as the menu stated the service wasn't to bad but there seemed to be a lot of play between the staff, the customer was being neglected. we wont visit again so disappointed.
Butchers Arms – Carmarthenwe enjoyed our meal and their own beer was outstanding a definite place to stop for a meal and the family were so helpful another great find everyone must go there.

Old Emlyn Arms, The – CarmarthenWhat a wonderful country pub. Have visited many times and always received a warm and friendly welcome. Some of the regulars are a bit dubious ie Dave Cardiff, Eifion, Will Bach, Lawrence, Andy Noble. John Pigeons You must ask chiefy the chef to show his tattoos, very interesting!! He loves being asked. Peters piercing is fascinating too. Sam the landlady is extremely friendly and has a very glamorous sister,Sara. Shona(snake hips) and Helen have very short hair!!!

Miskin Manor – PontyclunA group of 12 of us went for a meal and every single one of us were disappointed in the food especially. It was totally unacceptable!
Tredegar Arms – NewportWe found the ladies at the Greenfield very helpful - we are from out of town and working on the Trostre site and staying at a local B&B that they recommended. The food was excellent and very inexpensive. Keep up the good work Girls.
