I've just been to the Caribbean for the first time ever and on coming back went to The Dutch Pot to eat. I must say the service was friendly and prompt and the food was outstanding. It tasted the same way as when I was in St Vincent. Keep up the good work.

This is by far the mosty authentic thai restaurant in Leeds. I have worked for the last 4 years in Bangkok, and never really expected to taste any food a scrumptious outside of thailand.Until now. It is absolutely unbelievable that they can get food to taste so good. After speaking to the manager, he explained that the majority of herbs, spices and exotic veg are imported directly from Thailand, but even still the flavours just burst through in every mouthfull. The restauarant is quite small so bookings are definately recomended, but I do hear that they are planning to extend in the near future. I challenge anybody to find tastier thai food at any thai restaurant in the uk. I believe there is some connection to Chaopraya, and having eaten at both, I would have to say both are lovely restaurants, however the Sukhothai has the edge purely on the quality of its food. Also quite good for celebrity spotting, we saw Avi from Bo' Selecta and Jimmy Saville. Thoroughly enjoyable, 100% in every department. Well done Sukhothai and please keep it up.

I've just eaten at the Sukhothai on the recommendation of this site. The service was flawless. The meal was cooked with fresh, quality ingredients and the sauce was delicate and well balanced. We sat down at 7pm, at which point the restaurant was empty. When we left it was at capacity-on a Tuesday night. With starters and a main course for two people and three bottles of water, the meal came to £22. Lovely.

This is the best Thai restaurant in Leeds, without a doubt. All the dishes are really tasty and I have never had a bad meal there!

Really really good food. It is rather small, but this adds to a great atmosphere. The staff are excellent, with every need instantly provided with a smile. The prettiest staff in Leeds. The best Thai food I have ever had, which surpasses their city centre competitors. I ate in the Chaopraya about a month back, and the food was also very good, the restaurant exquisite, but the service was terrible.

Excellent. The tastiest Thai food I have ever eaten. Very friendly and attentive staff, easy parking with loads of nearby bars to visit afterwards. This is my favourite restaurant in Leeds, and luckily for me I still have over 100 dishes to work through. Very reasonable price and great atmosphere.

I saw this restaurant on this site, and after reading the other reviews, decided to give it a go. All i can say is thank you for possibly the tastiest meal I have ever had in my life. ( I am no spring chicken either). Truly truly scrumptious. I can not emphasise enough if you love Thai food or are new to it, you really have to check this place out. I had the weeping tiger ( a grilled marinated steak) and X2 which is duck in chill oil with sticky rice. The steak was like butter, so soft and tender and so full of flavour. The duck is so good, it is hard to put it into words. A good crowd of nice people, bustling with laughter and chat. Excellent veggie and seafood choices too. I am only sorry I did not discover it sooner.

I love this place. In fact damn near addicted. Everytime I try somewhere else, I regret it. I dont know what it is but there is something magical about the food here, a little piece of heaven in North Leeds. Just wish it was larger, as it can be very difficult to get a table.

Having been to Thailand myself, I am usually very critical of the 'Thai Food' served in England, but this place is about as authentic as it gets. Not only is the food outstanding, the service is just as exquisite as it is in the land of smiles! Reasonably priced too.

Went to a 60th party recently. Very enjoyable evening. Clientele of mixed ages (there was a 21st party, as well as couples, family groups) DJ excellent. Warm and welcoming place.

Pleasant but informal and friendly atmosphere. Amazing range of freshly prepared meals using top quality ingredients. Good veggie choice too.

This is in my opinion the finest thai restaurant in yorkshire.Yes it is rather small, but the food is unbelievably good, and the bill very reasonable.

A very nice restaurant with attentive staff and a pleasureable dining experience. Excellent friendly service and sheer variety of tasty dishes on the menu I don't believe it can be beaten.
