Langton – Cheltenhammany people think India lounge is an excellent Indian restaurant well i was very disappointed. four of us went in for a meal and were seated in the window which with their table layout we found very restricted ,having people practically eating off your table. I could write a lot more of our experience there but don't have the time, just to say if you would like to enjoy a GOOD indian restaurant then try THE BLUE LAGOON in Evesham .( now that is a good place to eat)
India Lounge – CheltenhamA fabulous 'gastropub' for lunch or evening dining, The Fox offers a wealth of delicious food, generous sized portions and lovely, atmospheric surroundings that keeps making me want to come back! I think that one of the signs of a good pub is attention to detail, where little things, like nice home-made chips and fresh vegetables (properly prepared and not dried-out through microwaving) are so important. As you would expect, this is not a cheap and cheerful pub, so expect to spend a little more than usual, but The Fox is most definitely worth it.
Fox Inn – CheltenhamWe had a fantastic weekend at Upper Court, ate well ( meal booked with James), walked - Bredon Hill and did some art - pottery and printmaking ( all of the family) . A great get away weekend highly recommended.
Upper Court – CheltenhamWe went to the india lounge for the first time recently, and i have to say the food was excellent! Definitely the best Indian cuisine that i have tasted! the service is also very good . the place has the atmosphere of an upmarket restaurant instead of the average Indian restaurant. Loved it!
India Lounge – CheltenhamFood ok, but obnoxious landlord who threw us out for complaining about the volume of the piped music. To be avoided. Rick G
Fox Inn – CheltenhamAn excellent restaurant with cosy surroundings. Food displaying a high standard for local and seasonal produce and passion. Well run family style service with a fair price too.
5 North St – CheltenhamRight on the high street in Winchcombe in a characterful old place where John Wesley once stayed -- hence the name. AA rosetted Modern British food, a good wine list, and good service (the maitre d' is Peruvian but sounds French). The bar area is charming with a huge fireplace while the restaurant is more contemporary in style. It's a restaurant with rooms too so you can stay over. As an aside, just down the road is an award-winning tea room run by a Japanese couple which is well worth a visit for their full-on afternoon teas.
Wesley House Restaurant – CheltenhamThis excellent restaurant is a true asset to Cheltenham. Fantastic opulent surroundings which are cosy and comfortable, a really nice family running the establishment and the food is cooked by a real chef - Sam Krori who owns the premises. Sam and his family take great pride in running their beautiful restaurant which has been completely refurbished and it really shows in every element of the place. In short - the best Bangladeshi food in and out of Bangladesh, fantastic ambience and great ambience. Personally recommend - Sweet and Spicy Honey Chicken and Fish Masala - yummy!
Curry Corner Indian Restaurant – CheltenhamWe have been regulars at the India Lounge since it opened and can thoroughly recommend it. The food is excellent and it's clear that quality ingredients are used and careful thought and preparation goes into producing the dishes. Service is friendly and attentive and the decor is contemporary and tasteful. In our view the best Indian restaurant in Cheltenham.
India Lounge – CheltenhamTerrible restaurant. Awful food, nothing vegetarian, frosty atmosphere. No one I know has enjoyed a meal here - it makes me wonder how much repeat business they get. I realise you won't publish this report - you only publish positive comments - hardly surprising therefore that no one has previously written a report for this place. I'm sure they were all negative.
Le Champignon Sauvage – CheltenhamThis is without doubt the best Indian / Bangladeshi restaurant I have ever been to. Decided to eat at the Curry Corner following keen recommendations by the hotel I am staying in for the Festival and reading the rave reviews on the restaurant by diners and critics alike. And they were all true. The food served by this restaurant is unparalleled. I have eaten in many of the local Indian restaurants on my past visits to Cheltenham but am so glad that I have at last discovered a real gem of a place where the quality of food goes hand in hand with luxurious surroundings and there is even a really stylish lounge bar - which is a real find - excellent for drinks before and after dinner. Truly in a league of their own.
Curry Corner Indian Restaurant – CheltenhamA lovely place to eat - the food was excellent. We had the bargain £10 for 2 courses menu (only available on Mondays or before 7pm) - stuffed aubergines slices followed by tuna steaks. Both were excellent, well cooked and a good combination of flavours in the dishes. The service was top notch too.
Laze Daze – CheltenhamFood, service and ambiance were all fantastic. Highly recommended. Definitely the best Indian restaurant in Gloucestershire. Try it!
Curry Corner Indian Restaurant – CheltenhamIt was very enjoyable. A great place for all the family.
TGI Fridays – CheltenhamMy family and I have been eating at the Curry Corner since it first opened 30 years ago. We take all our friends and family there for regular eat outs and special occasions. Each and every time the food and service has been fantastic. For those who are not aware, the Curry Corner has undergone a complete refurbishment and the restaurant looks a million dollars. For a superior restaurant experience where you can expect the best we recommend the Curry Corner every time.
Curry Corner Indian Restaurant – CheltenhamGreat place to eat food-fab ambience, lovely food and friendly service. Would eat here again
Zizzi – CheltenhamWe had a cooked breakfast here and the scrambled egg was rubbery and tasteless. Having said that I have been to other Cafe Rouges and they're ok.
Cafe Rouge – Cheltenham2 courses, £21; 3 courses, £25. Available lunch Monday- Saturday and 5pm-6.15pm Friday and Saturday.
