Austins Bar and Bistro – Chester-le-StreetI took my family to the Chester Moor for Sunday lunch on 16 December 2007. We often use this pub during the week and find it to be generally quite good, but on this occasion I was very disappointed. Basically all of the meats on offer appear to have been preprocessed, frozen and then resurrected, along with the vegetables. It was so poor that I felt obliged to write to the manager - something I can't ever previously recall doing.
The Chester Moor Inn – Chester-le-Street5 full adults meals for under £20, made this excellent value. The food was beautiful, freshly cooked, and real chips.
Market Tavern – Chester-le-Streetthe food is good but they use a lot of garlic which is not on the menu especially then chicken and ham pie (not good)

Memories Of India – Chester-le-StreetA very enjoyable environment that prides itself obviously on the quality of the food, it was really good, my partner had a very special dish of lemon sole, two very happy customers left the moorings and will be back very soon
Moorings The – Chester-le-StreetI've eaten in the bistro on three or four occasions and each time the quality of the meals have been excellent and they have also been well presented. The bistro has a pleasant ambiance with a good choice of wines and beers, including two real ales. Well worth a visit in my opinion.
