We really enjoyed our first visit to Ammas. All the dishes we ordered were fresh and full of flavour. The owners are friendly and welcoming and were not fazed when we asked to take the deliciously fragrant lamb byrani home with us. We thought the meal good value and look forward to returning.

Visited here on Father’s Day. Service was excellent and friendly and topped with a free drink for me for being a dad! We had a plates from the street food car and curry pot. A great menu with much i hadnt seen before to try All delicious and we especially liked the Masala Dhosa, the okra and the Chicken 65. Will be returning soon!

A hidden gem!! We love returning to this wonderful family run restaurant again and again! So pleased the doors are back open. The food is excellent and it’s a great place to escape into food heaven. It’s always such a treat to come here! They now have a very well designed outdoor space too! We can’t wait to come again!

I’ve visited a few times in the distant, pre-covid days and have always loved this place. This is one of my first restaurant visits post-lockdown and I couldn’t wait to return. Everything is as good as I remembered. It was lovely to be able to sit outside, the food (as ever) was fantastic and caters incredibly for gluten-free and vegan diets. The service is always perfect, and the owner’s pride in his food and venue rightly shines through.

I have visited Amma's Canteen a few times and the high quality of the food never ceases to amaze me! We deeply regretted not trying more of their new menu during our last visit, we will know better next time. The service is superb (it always is). Can't fault this place with anything! Keep up the excellent work!

Thursday10th June was the first 'eating in' at Amma's for a long time due to the pandemic. It was so warm we were offered a seat outside under the fairly recently erected 'pagoda' (I am sure there is another name for it!) Service was just right, with attention to our needs, but not over-bearing. Quality of food, exceptional, and value for money about spot on! Keep up the good work folks!

One of the best kept secrets. So as soon as we could we went to Amma's canteen for a meal post lockdown. It's a 40 mile round trip but well worth it.

This is a little gem of a restaurant in South Manchester. The cuisine was not known to us prior to our visit and the staff were wonderful in guiding us through the menu and giving recommendations. The menu is varied, the food tasty and full of flavour but not overly spicy. The owner chef is attentive to all and any dietary requirements and seems to make a point of coming to speak to all his guests to ensure they are enjoying their food. This was our 1st time here but it certainly won't be the last. I have been waxing lyrical about Amma's to all who will listen since our visit on Sat evening. Highly recommend!

We are the luckiest people jn the world and I feel sorry for you all that you don't have this amazing restaurant 2 minutes walk fron your from your door. Southern Indian food of the highest order. The best Dosa I have eaten outside of Madras. The accompanying chutneys were divine! Lovely, lovely people, welcoming chatty, friendly and funny. I'm so sorry for the rest of you. Lucky us.

I would never eat here or recommend anyone else to. the food may well be good, so I have given that the benefit of the doubt in my score. however the owner is a rude, ignorant and ill mannered gentleman.

Had a excellent and filling lunch at Dougy's on Friday. Curried chicken with rice and veg. Only £7 and kept me going all day!

What's not to like about Mary and Archie's! the best burger I have had in a long time, minced steak on brioche. a lovely relaxed quirky vibe, nice tunes, a good selection of beers real and craft oh and a dog!

Amazing. Heard lots of good things about it and visted for the first time last night. it was even better than expected. Delicious (authentic) pizza, great service, friendly, welcoming and warm atmosphere (literally - wood oven). and extremely good value. I can't recommend highly enough. It's now my no. 1 eatery in Chorlton and there are lots of them round here!
