Wheatsheaf Inn – CleckheatonMyself and my partner visited this restaurant for the 1st time last night. It was a Tuesday night, and it was quite busy, which is always a good sign. The service & atmosphere were great, and more importantly the food was excellent - fresh, well presented and very tasty! It was very good value for money, and all in all we enjoyed it very much. We live about 20 miles away, but we will definitely be returning. We decided to go here after reading all the great reviews on SV, and we were not disappointed at all.
Aldo’s Pizzeria – CleckheatonThe best Indian restaurant in Yorkshire
Aakash Restaurant – CleckheatonGreat food, atmosphere and service. Child friendly. Authentic Italian. 10 out of 10.
Aldo’s Pizzeria – CleckheatonI have been going to Aldos for many years, its my fave restaurant! We always have birthday meals, girly nights and the romantic nights! So when i got engaged i asked if we could hold our little celebration there! Our engagement party was the best ever! They put on a fab buffet for us, use of the upstairs bar, use of nearly the whole restaurant! And the food was fantastic! Bye bye to open sandwiches! Hello meatballs!!!! Oh it was lovely!! Everyone enjoyed it! After we filled our bellies we then had a little party! There was music and plenty of room to dance! It was the best party i have ever had!! Thank you to all staff who made it a unforgettable evening!! Jo and Chris! Xx
Aldo’s Pizzeria – CleckheatonLovely charming pub, nice inside, friendly staff. The food is excellent, value for money and very plentiful, i have eaten here loads of times and find it very hard to beat. Would most definitely recommend, you won't be disappointed but need to ring first, can get busy and it is only small.
Rising Sun Inn – CleckheatonWe visited the Aakash last night, and it was fantastic. The buffet was brilliant however there could have been a few more starters! I think the deared buffet would be better. The salad bar was amazing, friendly staff, very cheap drinking & an amazing atmosphere!! Will be off back soon!
Aakash Restaurant – CleckheatonWent to Aldos last Saturday the 18th April 09 really enjoyed our visit has a real Italian feel about the place and the food was excellent well done.
Aldo’s Pizzeria – CleckheatonI took my girlfriend along to the Valentine's day event they had, it was great!Great atmosphere, food was scrumptious!service was impeccable and the interior is stunning...as soon as you walk through the door you forget that you are in cleckheaton!could easily be fooled thinking that you were sitting in some eatery in a big cosmopolitan city!this place is definitely deserving of its tag of "The Best Indian Restaurant In Yorkshire"!
Aakash Restaurant – Cleckheatonthe best buffet i have ever been to,once you go "you will" be a regular, the place is spotlessly clean, the food is sheer quality, not the usual buffet junk ,plenty of choice in starters main and desserts,my favourites are the fish starters which are very fresh and mouthwatering, also the gorgeous homemade trifle so , if u want my advice - go to aakash 4 a feast you will leave extremely satisfied and fat bellied , signed the steady family .....
Aakash Restaurant – CleckheatonTHIS IS A PLEASANT SURPRISE, NICE FOOD, VERY REASONABLY PRICED AND VERY FRIENDLY STAFF, HAVE I STEPPED BACK A BIT IN TIME?. DEFINITELY GOING BACK

Aldo’s Pizzeria – CleckheatonWe could recommend Aldo's to anyone even the most choosiest of people. The food and ambiance is second to none. Even our 20month old grandchild had a whale of a time!!!!! Close your eyes and you could have been in the real Italy. This was our first time there and we will definitely be going back. 10 out of 10.
Aldo’s Pizzeria – CleckheatonWent down here a few weeks ago and was greatly disappointed with lack of service to those of us chose to sit outside. Took absolutely ages between courses and it was not particularly busy so that cannot have been the reason. Out of sight out of mind was best way to describe it !
The Hunsworth Brewers Fayre – CleckheatonThis is the first time we have been to the Hunsworth and at the moment it will be the last this was not an enjoyable meal for my father who is 90 my brother and my self. From entering the Hunsworth I was put off by the man who allocates the tables he was quite large i do not have a problem with his size it was his belly which was showing beneath his shirt, this is something which i do not want to see before i sit down for a meal. We had to wait quite a long time it was cold where we were sat, when the meal came i had pasta which was just ok my father and brother had the Sunday Roast this was cold and the beef was just in big grisly pieces there was not a slice of beef on there plates my brother did eat some of his meat but left all the vegetable's he said there was no taste to it at all it was the worst meal he had ever had, my father just had a roast potatoes and some Yorkshire pudding. He could not manage with the knife they changed that, we complained about the meat they offered to change the meat but my brother had started and he wanted to go really so we carried on with the meal we finished first but my father was struggling we had to ask for the plates to be removed I am not used to having dirty plate in front of me for 15 minutes when she came for the plates I mentioned my fathers meal again I showed her the meat she just said sorry and took the meal off the bill they seemed as though they weren't that bothered, we left very unhappy customers I know the meal was not major expensive at £25 but for something that you can't eat it is and the service was not too good either we have been better looked after at a small local cafe than we were at the Hunsworth.
The Hunsworth Brewers Fayre – CleckheatonOn looking for somewhere to take two young Canadians I remembered Aldos in Cleckheaton. They made us feel very welcome and there was a lively and entertaining atmosphere. The food was very good and the service prompt and excellent. We felt special. Thank you for an excellent meal.
Aldo’s Pizzeria – CleckheatonWe were expecting great things from this raved about restaurant when we booked a table for 14 on saturday night. It was a hen party and a special event, the table was booked for 20;30 we arrived at 20;15 and were shown to a very busy bar area where we had pre dinner drinks. All well so far, 21;00 came and we were still stood in the bar area, at 21;15 we spoke to the manager who told us that out tabble was still in use and its guests had now finnished there main course, it would depend on there further requremants as to when we would be seated. It was 21;50 before we were seated a ful 1 hour and 20 mins after out table had beed booked. we were told a booking only gets you a table not a time slot! The food came quickley as our order had been taken in the bar. The starters were devoured in a matter of seconds, we were all so hungry. The main course followed very soon after that, too soon. Deserts and coffee followed at this point the staff were staring to close up for the night. The food was good but the service poor, it was a special night and we all had a really good time it is a shame that things were held up and then rushed. I feel i have to comment on the music also which was far too loud, you could not chat over the music. It is a shame when you go out with good company you can not hear conversations. All in all the food was ok but I will not return to aldos, such a shame as it would have not taken much to make a good night first class.
Aldo’s Pizzeria – Cleckheatonaldos is a very fine restaurant ,but because it is fine i do not advise going on a Friday or a Saturday evening as it is very loud and you could and will no doubt have to wait 1 hour approx for a table as they do not take bookings from my experience of the establishment. the staff are very friendly and probably the best around in the area which is a credit to the restaurant. however i had king prawns in a garlic sauce ,which was ok only!they were done butterfly.its much better grilled in garlic with the shell left as it should be as its so much easier to eat and the sauce does not make the sauce soggy! its a nice place folks and the food is genuinely good but it could do with a few finer pointers on the menu and wine list especially
