Great food, lovely gift for mothers day. Very thoughtful. Style over substance with gravy boat. No handle and so hot, it burnt fingers. Also, when attempting to add a tip the service charge was already on the bill. As a personal choice I prefer to be asked on this. Will definitely visit again though.

We had a table for 7 of us ladies who play badminton together. We were sampling a Fowey Food Week menu of Spanish Tapas. We had one dish of everything to share. Good portions and very affordable prices. Delicious food and good service, thank you.

We stayed and ate at the Fowey Hotel last week and feel compelled to mention that we had a wonderful night away. The food was truly memorable, the staff were attentive with just the right amount of attention and so friendly/welcoming. We took advantage of the nightly offer including Dinner, Bed and Breakfast and consider this to be exceptional value for money, we recommend spending a little more and upgrading to a sea facing Select or Premier room as the views are truly breath taking. Parking is a little tight so do book a parking space on making your reservation, it's worth it. We will definitely be returning as there is so much we would like to see and do, a Cornish gem that we will recommend to all our friends, thank you. S and J

Well, what can we say. We ate at 'Q' last weekend and what a find. As we were just visiting the wonderful town of Fowey we thought we would ask for the best place in town to eat.... The person we stopped in the street pointed us in exactly the right direction! Adam the restaurant manager was great and recommended the chateau brand for us to share, thank you. A great restaurant in a fantastic boutique hotel. We will be back to stay!!!! I would say that whoever reads this review should visit.

last week me, my husband and young children all went to the oriental touch for a all you can eat buffet. we had such a warm welcome i ordered a drink that they didn't have but they went and got it for me. they were so accommodating as we needed 2 high chairs and something to keep the little ones occupied. i liked that there was plenty of choice and that my son could just keep going up for more. there was desserts there too all included in the price of £9.95! great experience going again soon!

well after ordering 6 main courses which all proved to be horrible i strongly advise people to take there custom elsewhere. the fish dishes sampled were over cooked. lemon sole's distinctive flavour was lost through over cooking. meat dishes like lamb shank should be avoided as the fish flavour comes into the dishes as they are prepared in the same areas. vegetables were overcooked or undercooked. seasoning had to be asked for as the food is very bland. the service is very slow taking an hour and a half for a main course. a beetle was on the floor suggesting poor hygiene standards.

We went for a meal on a Monday evening and it was very quiet. Only two other tables occupied. we were greeted by very friendly staff and given a bowl of prawn crackers , got drinks etc. Had all you can eat buffet. A little surprised to find out it wasn't exactly the kind of all you can eat buffet I was used to. We had to select from 2 starters, one main, one vegetable/side order and one rice or noodles. The food was OK there was plenty of it albeit we didn't get the rice we asked for and were given mixed vegetables when we didn't order it. We only managed to eat what we were given and we were stuffed. Overall not a bad experience. £12.95 for the buffet.

This is a good beer drinkers pub where children are welcome. Being well placed for anyone on the coastal walks in the area around Fowey and Parr it serves excellent food. We know the area well and always make a point of visiting.

Just come back from this place, was a bit quiet (being a Monday night) but the atmosphere, music etc couldn't be faulted. I had the all you can eat buffet, which was great value at £12.95. The food tasted as if it had been cooked to order and not re-heated. The staff were also very friendly.

This is a pricey pub, but well worth paying for. The setting is particularly good. Directly outside is the beach - with a good sized patio to drink on, which is very welcoming on a hot summers day with the sea breeze. The inside of the pub is very traditionally decorated, with a real wood fir which was most inviting during my cold November visit to Cornwall a few years back! A must try for any pub goer!

This is a very nice pub with a relaxed atmosphere. I visit Par every year with friends and have been doing for the last 6 years. We regularly walk past 2 or 3 other pubs to get to this one, such is the Quality of the place. Very traditional old building with low ceilings (sometimes a problem for tall people like me) but the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The food is cooked to very high standard, we did wait a while but then again there were 7 meals to prepare, but again, all food was hot and cooked well. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in the Par area.

The Oriental Touch is at Tywardreath highway, par, Cornwall. My husband and I have been to Chinese restaurants all over the country and abroad, and this restaurant is by far the best. 10/10.

Pricey but very tasty, get what you pay for. However I would say you got a better quantity than the norm in most...so that makes up for it! A great Chinese restaurant you can be guaranteed of excellent food and pleasant contemporary surroundings. Phone ahead and check availability though, winter times no need. Go again? Definitely!
