AWFUL! After waiting 1hr 20 for our food it arrived. We had ordered the dhal served with bread... the bead was a defrosted piece of brown sliced bread, not at all the authentic bread you would expect. We had also ordered Satay Tofu. The tofu looked and tasted like stale old bread. The green Thai and Malaysian curries were passable at best.

A very tasty selections of tapas and the main courses were excellent. The vegetarian was wholesome and perfectly spiced. A good friendly atmosphere in the evening. The dip / sauce with the fish skewer was superb.

Beautifully fresh fish, crisp vegetables, excellent wine, attentive but not overwhelming service, fabulous creme brulee - all in very attractive, comfortable modern surroundings. The log burning stove made it cosy. The welcome was equally warm. I'll definitely make a point of going back to the Salamander and recommending it to others.

Excellent small restaurant in Mevagissey. The service and welcome were both friendly and efficient. The duck was cooked to perfection and was so tasty and tender. The owner said that she had sourced "happy ducks" and obviously happy ducks make tasty ducks!! My wife thoroughly enjoyed her sea bass fillets with lemon and parsley sauce. The accompanying vegetables were well cooked and tasty. Well worth a visit!! We will be returning soon!!

Went here in 2004. Had some very tasty dishes. The dish with roasted potatoes, chicken, vegetables and chorizo with chilli oil was quite memorable. Good atmosphere and service.

one of the best restaurants in Mevagissey - we know many people who hav been there and returned for more of the qhality food which is always up to the same standard. Book or you will be lucky to get in
