Maltsters Arms

what a great place set in the lovely village of Chapel Amble, staff very very friendly and helpful, in fact we were on holiday for 7 nights and we eat at The Maltsters for 6 nights, fresh fish, daily specials and they used lots of local produce. cant wait till we go back again!

Maltsters Arms – Wadebridge
Baba Indian Restaurant The

this has got to be the best indian restaurant in cornwall by far. great food and great service, we now visit the restaurant a least twice a month.

Baba Indian Restaurant – Truro
Castle Inn

This has to be the best budget eatery in St Ives, where do I start? The Real Ales, The Belgian bottled beers, the great wine list at no margin or the food that is well above expectations. It's as if there is a award winning chef that should be in an expensive restaurant cooking in a pub! Fresh fish and meats are used instaed of frozen everything. Full marks and keep it up.

Bay Restaurant

I took two vegetarian friends out one Sunday evening for a treat, we sat in the conservatory and chose a decent bottle of rose bubbly to sip and were brought some canapes on the house. We sat at a a window table and soaked up the atmosphere, the veggies were very well catered for and thought the food was excellent, large servings and well presented. I chose the steak which cut like butter and came with 'hand made chips'. The desserts were beautiful and the wine list had a good choice of half bottles so everybody was happy. Well done the Bay!

Bistro

My fiance' and myself have eaten in The Bistro on a number of occassions and the meals have always been wonderful, the Sunday lunches are the best in town , the owners are always friendly and the service is very good. I live in London and go down to St Ives every couple of weeks and you'd be hard pushed to find the quality of food served in the Bistro anywhere in London.

Alba

This was our first visit to Alba. Fantastic food, great wine list, breathtaking views, the whole package. Attention to detail such as canapes with our drinks, a gift from the kitchen and homemade bread while we waited for our starters, were a welcome touch as were the delicious homemade chocolates which came with our coffee. The shellfish starter tasted as though it had just left the sea, and the cornish beef fillet melted in the mouth. A cornish Strawberry taster dessert was amazing , 6 small desserts on one plate. A truly memorable evening.

Onshore Restaurant

On a day out to St Ives we had lunch. We chose a special deal which was a Pizza + drink for £8.95 together with a Pasta dish. It was superb, freshly cooked and very tasty. Because it was such a lovely day the views of the beach where all the people were sunbathing was an extra.

Onshore Restaurant – St Ives
New Maharajah The

It is the best Indian Restaurant in Newquay because of the food, ambiance, price and best of all its views overlooking the sea. It is well worth a visit

New Maharajah The – Newquay
Mexican Cantina The

I have visited the Mexican on many an occasion and have enjoyed everything about it. It is authentic and caters very well for large parties. They have sufficient room for hen and stag parties together with the romantic diners. Its location is excellent for having a meal and then going clubbing.

Ocean Grill

As I was travelling to St Ives...no seriously, Whilst I was eating in St Ives I happened on the Ocean Grill; a first floor eatery that was half hidden by two awful tat shops - so keep your eyes peeled. And, don't be fooled by the hideous orange roller blind either. Once inside, or more importantly, once on the terrace you'll be seated to gaze upon glorious views of the town and distant seashore and treated to sumptious food served by welcoming waiting staff - who actually live in the town and can answer a multitude of questions. And, for a price that would please both a prince and a pauper.

Alba

Probably the best place to eat in St.Ives. I had beef fillet which was cooked to perfection. I had the chocolate trio for dessert, again a tastebud tantaliser. would reccommend anyone to go there

Alba – St Ives
Alba

We had a pleasant evening, my starter was very small and a little disapointing, however overall it was a nice meal, we thought the attention to detail was good and the staff very nice. A little overpriced to visit often but a smart venue.

Sea Palace

The best Chinese/Cantonese restaurant i have ever been to and its in cornwall!!! Excellent menu and the food is amazing. My boyfriend and I went there after a friend recommended we check it out and we've been back again and again. The setting is really cosy, a little like a cavern, nice for a romantic meal. i cant stress enough the fact that you really need to pay this little gem of place a visit.

What a find!! This first floor restaurant in St Ives must be one of the best kept secrets in town. Just when I thought I had sampled all that St Ives had to offer, I happened on this deceptively fine eating place. Quality fresh fish, good French wine and a view to die for and at such a modest price. How do they do it? To miss this restaurant when visiting St Ives would be a culinary crime!

Ocean Grill

What a wonderful suprise! Having stopped off in St Ives as part of my European sojurn I was totally amazed at the quality of food in general in St Ives, but in particular the Ocean Grill brought pure delight both to my palette and wallet. Basking in unusually warm sunshine on the balcony on a early spring evening was totally pleasure as I feasted on fresh seafood and uninterupted views of Cornwall across the St Ives Bay. Glorious...if only they could export it!!

Bay Restaurant

Fantastic! One of the best meals I've ever enjoyed at a price that was very reasonable. Maybe one criticism would be that some of the portions are on the generous side, one thing for certain is that we didn't raid the fridge at home! We will definately go there again.

The Garden Bar and Restaurant – Penzance
Bay The

WOW !! What a superb meal, what a find !! Well worth the effort of seeking out this hidden gem off Chyandour Cliff Penzance. Views to rivel the best anywhere and although not cheap [my 3 course dinner with wine came to £34.00] I would say extememly good value. Marvelous Laksa [shrimp & noodle soup to the uninitiated] followed by monkfish tail baked in Pancetta with ratatouille & basil dressing. Veggies cooked just right & followed by brown bread & honey ice-cream.Mmmmm....heaven. No freezer to fryer or sous vide stuff here, just honest fresh food, prepared to order by experts who know what they're doing. Excellent wine & great service. You could do very much worse than to eat here... the locals do so that must tell you something!
