We visited the restaurant on a Sunday evening having not been there for a good few months. Sadly, the service was very slow (despite the restaurant only being half full) and the Sunday roast was mediocre. Luckily we knew where to find the specials board but the staff didn’t point this out to us. We might just have been unlucky but our experience this time was markedly different to many past visits to the Red Lion.

Aqua Food and Mood – CoventryDisappointed on the service last night. We were seated then forgot about, was while later when our food order was taken. No one mentioned the specials board on arrival. After our meal We asked for the dessert menu which arrived shortly after but then after waiting for 10 minutes or more we decided to leave after no one taking our order. Although staff walked past quite a few times. No one asked if the food was ok or even if we wanted another drink.
