we visited on a Sunday evening. We did unfortunately have to wait almost 30 minutes for our food however food was lovely and so was atmosphere.

Visited with friends in Tuesday 6th September. The food was fantastic and the staff were excellent and friendly.

Had Sunday Lunch for my husband’s birthday treat The food was delicious very tasty and pipping hot followed by homemade Cheesecake and Ice Cream which was delicious. The staff were very helpful the Chef even cut my up my food as I had my arm in a sling excellent service

The staff where very helpful and polite explained they had a Bingo session on Monday afternoons so could we wait ? The food was served quickly after the order was taken and was well presented. Good value at 2 courses for £10 simple and unfussy pub gub

beautiful atmosphere and amazing service. But most importantly exquisite food that never disappoints. Definitely worth every penny!

Not the best meal I’ve had here. What’s happened to potion sizes .? Tiny compared to last visit . Burger was over cooked and fish and chips portion although cooked well was very small. This is not a cheap place for a meal don’t mind paying good money but felt quite disappointed with both service and meal .Had some kind of party out in the garden which was so noisy couldn’t talk or sit in peace whilst eating . I appreciate staff are new and in training but had to repeat drinks order three times ,overall bit stressful and probably won’t return for a while .

I've eaten here loads and always bring friends and family. Why? Because it is the best place to eat pub grub in Coventry. I've seen or eaten every single thing on the menu, Inc carvery, and all has been gorgeous. I think it's unfair that someone has claimed to no liking moaning, but comes on to give a scathing review. Not fair. It is truly an amazing place.

Amazing food, great service, great prices

The lunchtime deal is really good value. We had the triple beef lasagne and liver bacon and onions. Our return visit was later in the day and so we had steak! I cannot give enough praise to all the staff. They're so welcoming and friendly but efficient. The kitchen staff are obviously on their game too as the food always comes out hot and cooked well. This is definitely going to be our 'go to'

Been coming here regularly for a while now, the staff are always so pleasant especially the (forgive me - I do not know her name) mixed race lady! Always happy to help and really makes you feel welcome. One of very few places I feel at home in, it’s a warm and cosy atmosphere and the food is SO GOOD - proper home cooked!

Had a beautiful meal staff go above and beyond

Had an excellent time at the Old Crown as part of a surprise birthday party I arranged for my mum. Staff did all they could to accommodate all of us, especially for myself as a vegan. There were virtually no vegan options on the menu however the staff put a vegan pizza together for me and it was delicious. Staff brought out the cake for my mum with the candles lit and a cake topper sitting on the cake. It was a wonderful experience and most importantly, my mum was over the moon with it all. Truly a nice memory for her and all of us who went. Thank you

I was really looking forward to a nice Saturday evening and good food. When the food came, the meat was very rubbery and the rice was over cooked. We didn’t have any cutlery or napkins until we asked. At the end when we paid, the staff asked us how we wanted to pay, I said cash, so they got the manager. My partner said she wanted to pay by card and we apologized and said can we pay by card instead. The manager said, I’d prefer cash. We asked if it was a problem, to which he threw the card machine down and went off in a huff. Will not be going back anytime soon! Probably a reason that the place was empty!
