We came here for midweek tea at the pub. The pub is lovely, great outdoor space for families and also incorporates a great area for watching sports. The staff are really friendly, helpful and make the place feel warm and welcoming. The food wow, it was great pub food, tasty, well cooked, good portion size, pipping hot and the onion rings are real battered big ones. We really enjoyed it, we are lucky to have this place just down the road so we are looking forward to coming back.

Delicious excellent quality food but expensive small portions. (Portions where larger when we have ordered a takeaway).Restaurant was fairly empty and waiter made us feel rushed. Waiter didn’t follow our request to have several starters and at the same time one main course to share. My husband finished before me and waiter started clearing the table while I was still eating which felt rather rude as I felt rushed to finish. Was disappointed as I had hoped this was going to be our new favourite place to eat

The place is perfect. Been coming here for over 5 years and the atmosphere is brilliant. Clean and tidy. Staff are brilliant and go above and beyond with service. Food is impeccable.

I’ve been to the old crown a few times the service was excellent at all times very helpful food was amazing and excellent value for money .Myself and a co worker had assisted some of our Vulnerable clients I asked if we could be put in a quiet area they were so helpful and did so it was all stressfree we all enjoyed ourselves thank you so much again especially Sharon couldn’t do enough for us see you guys again very soon 5 ⭐️

My friends and I met here for lunch on Wed 26th May. One of my friends lives nearby and had eaten here previously and recommended it. We were served wonderfully by Sharon who was so friendly and attentive. The food was delicious with portion sizes that were just right. We had the chargrilled chicken, the chicken tender wrap and the bacon, Brie and Cranberry ciabatta with onion rings. The onion rings were incredible, with a really delicious batter and everything was cooked to perfection. Excellent value for money! My friends both had Sticky Toffee Pudding, one with vanilla ice cream and one with custard and they both said it was delicious. The Old Crown was a real find and we will definitely be returning!
