Very good been twice, enjoyed both times very freindly and relaxed.

The food was nice and in the menu I like the GF, Gluten Free symbol in the menu.

This restaurant is over-priced and the chef is so high on crack he forgets to send orders out that are complete! The service is terrible and the staff are rude and lazy.

This is one of the best restaurants in South Wales we eat out alot and this is one of the best. The service is excellent and the food exceptional, the interior nicely decorated and the area very pretty. The menu choice is varied and not expensive but the food would give any Michelin star restaurant a run for their money.

A very old pub with great pub food (I had Faggots and peas). Good beer and very interesting decor. There is also a nice walk not far from the coast 10mins away.

Been here a couple of times for food and haven't been disappointed. Attentive service, imaginative menus and delicious food. Only drawback-term time, the bar becomes like a student's union for the nearby Atlantic College.

Popped in for lunch on a Saturday, friendly welcoming staff cooked my sons mussels to order even though they were not on the menu. Beautiful home cooked food.

I visited Oscars for the first time! I was amazed by the standard of service and the food was delightful. What a wonderful hidden hideaway, I even spotted a few celebrities...... RECOMMENDATION 10 OUT OF 10 "well done Oscars I will be back"

Great Food, got to be up there with the best

Ate there last night. What a great meal! There was lots of choice and everything looked delicious so it took me a while to decide, I had the oriental duck which was really tasty and cooked well. My partner had the Fillet steak which i did try and was also delicious. Service was very good and the staff responded quickly to any needs that you had. Can't wait to go there again and try something else!!

We eat here regularly and the food is always superb and is prepared just how you want it. The minestrone soup is different every time, so must be fresh. Service very friendly and relaxed. Do try it soon.

A friendly atmospheric pub with good choice of food, and service. I like their laid back approach, and the log fires.

We arrived at the restaurant to find there were problems in the kitchen. Food eventually arrived, starters were nice, then came the disasters. I ordered sirloin steak medium/well with chips, what arrived was a piece of charcoal and after waiting for 5 minutes and no chips -I approached a waitress who told me the fryer was not working but I could have boiled, sauted or jacket potatoes. I sent the steak back and asked for sirloin med/well with a jacket potato. What I got was a rare steak and after waiting another 5 minutes I was told that jacket potatoes were finished but I could have sauted or boiled. Having told them to stick their potatoes, I was rewarded with a jacket potato. In the meantime my steak was cold, nearly raw and fatty with gristle. Needless to say, I did not eat my meal and after chatting to the people on the next table, I found that she had ordered a rare steak and was cooked med/well. If they can't get the orders right on a quiet night - heaven help anybody who fancies going on a busy night. The fish by all accounts was edible.

Had at meal at the carne arms last week. Good service, very attentive and friendly. A warm cosy atmosphere with the open fires in the bar and the restaurant. The food is fab. i had the seabass with a stunning spinach feta salad and my dad has the liver. A surprising range of meals to chose from, from sausage and mash to more exotic dishes like pheasant and pork tenderloin. The wine list has a nice range too and the waitress recommended us a bottle from the specials which we enjoyed for a reasonable price. would recommend this good quality old country pub to anyone.

Under new management, young ambitious and very hard working in getting the place back to it's former glory, and creating and cooking good food in good sized portions. Great olde worde atmosphere, no loud juke box music,(always good to see) with a great homely atmosphere and well kept beers.

Sunday Lunch with music was a relaxed gastromonic feast. Welsh Roast Beef and Salt Marsh Lamb of the highest quality, cooked to perfection with presentation to match. I was certainly not on my own in this opinion as Illtud's was packed - families old and young, people celebrating and those who just love good fresh produce. The music was an added bonus so check if this is planned for your next Sunday lunch. Highly recommended.
