The ambience could have been better as we had to pass through curtained areas and tables which hadn't been set,and coming through the front door it isn't very clear as to where the restaurant is. However the food and service more than made up for that it's well worth a visit if you want a special meal and some quality time in a restaurant.

Had a lovely lunch last week. The Lamb Henry was the best. My daughter had the most amazing Turkey Salad. Never seen such a well produced salad with the most unusual ingredients. Thank you for the best meal we have had out for a long time.

I eat out frequently and usually choose somewhere recommended by word of mouth. The food here was amongst the best. I had Risotto which was extremely tasty, and my friend ordered the roast beef which came out with the biggest Yorkshire pudding I've ever seen, and side dish of fresh (not microwaved) seasonal vegetables. The puddings were mouth-watering...strawberry flambé was delicious. Presentation was also impeccable. The wine list was extensive and reasonably priced and I thoroughly recommend the White Lion, Audlem Road, Hankelow.

It's been here since 1981 but this was my first visit! Excellent food, everything was very fresh and nicely presented. The staff were very friendly and the service was very good. Good value for money, even more so as there was 20% discount on the evening we went. I will be back again soon!

I thought that the Woodside was great value for money, and had a really friendly atmosphere. The food was well presented, tasted brilliant and was followed by a gorgeous dessert! we will definitely be going back again!

Absolutely without doubt best curry restaurant and takeaway in the area. Never have I tasted better!!!

There are a lot of Indian restaurants in Crewe and over the years I've tried them all. But I always come back to the best - and the Taqudir is the best by a very long way. Terrific food friendly service and low prices: what more could you possibly ask for?

You must go and try the Carvery which is available every day. At busy times you have to queue for a while but the food and portion sizes are fantastic. The cost is unbelievable. A great meal, in nice surroundings, cheaper than anywhere else in the area.

Good friendly pub with great food

I have been for a meal with my family to the coach & horses and found there to be a warm welcome even for my younger child the service was very good & the food was great. There was a good selection of beers wines & soft drinks. There is a lovely beer garden but the weather was not that good when I went but I will be visiting there again very soon.

Absolutely the best Italian I have has the pleasure of dinning in - great food, spectacular atmosphere and a very friendly welcome from the staff.

We regularly visit the Broughton Arms at the weekend, although tables need to be booked as they are very popular! The service is warm and friendly, the prices are very competitive and the food is beautifully cooked, with specials always available. The helpings are very generous, and the ambience is particularly cosy in the winter when the fire is lit which is the focal point of the pub.

My mum once found a slug in her salad there. But apart from that, it? a fantastic, clean, friendly place with lovely staff and beautiful food. The price is right too!!
