Visited for very late lunch after long walk with black Labrador . Staff were lovely ,friendly and very helpful and the food was great . Loved it so much I went back the next day . So dog friendly it was great . Thankyou ! Highly recommended.

Bad attitude all round. Walked in to be told we couldn't order food for 15 minutes. ordered 2 drinks, can we have a tab, only if you sit inside. You cant sit there its reserved. OK can we just order the food and pay and then it can come out whenever you are ready. no cant do that. None of the above was out of order just the arsey way it was delivered. So we paid for the 2 drinks and left, left them £60 shorter too.

Best eatery in Coniston. Great food, very friendly staff, unusually good parking for the village and gorgeous fell views!

After trying local pubs for food we tried Sarah's on a last evening. Amazing food and surroundings staff were more than polite and we were allowed to take our own drink ......Most definitely will be returning if we find ourselves in Conniston........Go on you know you want to give them a try. This is just the restaurant that Coniston has needed for a long time. The food here is of a really high standard. I took my wife and son here on Tuesday 28th April as a special treat. We had 2 Balti Chicken dishes and a Jalfreizi with Pillau rice with poppadoms. We all thought that this was one of the best Indian meals that we have ever had- it was so very tasty and delicious. The menu here is extensive and should suit most tastes. The staff are friendly and efficient and their chef is obviously very skilled at his work. We had soft drinks and a gorgeous meal for less than £16 a head. We cannot recommend Sara's Restaurant any more highly. It has only been open for some 3 weeks but we feel this restaurant has the makings of being a real winner in Coniston. Go on- go ahead and give them a try.

This new year my mate and I stayed at the Bull. If you want a clean room and warm, friendliness from locals and staff and food that's out of this world and not forgetting their own micro brewery beer,my favourite is K7 then you MUST stay at the Bull. DON'T BOOK ANY WHERE ELSE. Mention my name and that of Mark if you wish.

I knew Jumping Jenny's would be spot on the moment I walked in. Housed in the old stable block of Brantwood, Ruskin's house, It serves real foodie food but simple and not to one particular cuisine. I guess if the place was a cookbook it would be Nigel Slater. We had one of their famous flan's and the best lasagne I have had anywhere, firm but moist and not swimming in sauce. A roaring fire and an awesome view of Coniston and the Old Man to cap it off.

Love this place and now its got a new deli which is handy when we are in town!

Great little cafe. Good food, lovely atmosphere. Excellent lasagne, soup and gorgeous icecream. Child friendly but busy! Fair prices too. We will return.

had a week here at the wonderful lake district,and visited the wilson arms twice. excellent service and five star food. staff was really helpful,friendly cannot think of a bad word to say about this wonderful resturant/ b and b, would strongly recommend, also good value for money : ))

Always a superb experience; wood burner, Baroque music, relaxed atmosphere, welcoming staff, great food, mouth-watering home-made cakes, ambient surroundings, magazines to read and stunning views if the weather is good enough to eat outside. An absolute must.
