The Wild Olive – SeascaleFab little cafe only a few steps from the beach. Good prices and the foods delicious…. hope to be seeing you all soon for even more ice-cream!! :)
Mawsons Ice Cream Parlour and Coffee Shop – SeascaleA very pleasant atmosphere and meal together with good service and felt welcomed. Rather busy but not overwhelming and became more relaxed later on as some customers left. Definitely a returning point and good value.
White Mare – SeascaleA comfortable place to stop off for a break with a lovely garden and the sound of the river with the recent good weather. The menu was a bit basic but food was definitely okay. A possible stopping off place when I pass again.
Stanley Arms Hotel – SeascaleBeautiful pies and home made chips. The staff and people were really friendly and the bar area is doggie friendly yay!
Gosforth Hall Inn – SeascaleOne of the best in West Cumbria.
Cumbrian Lodge Hotel – SeascaleThe Horse and Groom in Gosforth Cumbria is a pub to avoid! Very rude and sarcastic bar manager. We understood that it was under new management but we didn’t expect to be greeted by a ‘Basil Fawlty’ ! We were there for Sunday lunch yesterday and spent £85 for four of us. The bar manager was sarcastic when we walked in and on leaving was very rude to my daughter and granddaughter. I was in the loo at the time and missed the leaving comment but I know for sure that we will NEVER return to the Horse and Groom in Gosforth. Basil Fawlty! you are an idiot.
Horse and Groom at Gosforth – SeascaleMy wife and I dined with friends on Friday 29th May 2009, at the West Lakes Hotel’s summer gourmet evening. The food was excellent, possibly the very best I have ever experienced during my sojourn on this earth. The ambience was extremely satisfying and the number of diners and mix of company just right for such occasion. The service was excellent, with just the correct gap between each of the 9 courses to dispel any feeling of satiation. Geoff and Debra are to be congratulated on the way in which they facilitated such enjoyment of Rob’s culinary expertise. Well done, one and all!!
Westlakes Hotel – SeascaleExcellent time had by all Dec 2006
