Service was great, the Sunday dinner wasn't anything special. Extremely high price for what it is. Everything tasted very bland, just a low quality dinner. Won't be back again.

Food was absolutely amazing and the service was brilliant. Will definitely try to visit again if we are in the area.

We ate at The Manor on three evenings while staying in St Bees with various people, one vegan. The food was really good, especially the roast on Sunday for the meat-eaters and with smaller portions available for those of us who wanted them. If we lived locally we would certainly use it regularly, friendly, helpful staff and a warm atmosphere.

Food was good - we shared breaded Brie starter and then had scampi and chips and brisket with mash followed by a waffle with toffee sauce. Would recommend.

A well run welcoming place. I stayed two nights in a small double room with a comfortable bed but there was a problem with the hot water supply in the bath which slowed to a trickle after a few minutes. The food is standard pub fare so not a lot of choice but it is done well, I had an excellent lasagne with a good well-dressed side salad and a good Cumberland sausage the other night. There is a car park round the back. My room was over the kitchen and was a bit noisy whilst the kitchen was in use for breakfast and evening meals, but it was very quiet by bed time.

Lovely staff and enjoyed the location and the food. Would recommend. But best to book. Looks small on outside but car park at back. We will be back

Wonderful food. We were delighted to find vegan and vegetarian options. The butternut and lentil wellington was delicious and accompanied by a variety of vegetables that weren't just an afterthought. The pub coped well considering we arrived just before a party of 30 who had pre-ordered. We were happy to wait until they were served because the food was delicious and the portion were generous. Highly recommended!

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I had the steak & ale pie. My partner had the Cumberland sausage. Friendly and efficient service. The food was great!

Lovely service. Friendly and helpful. Chilli con carne is VERY mild but delicious nonetheless.

I had the best chilli nachos I've ever tasted so I returned again two days later for a repeat performance. They did not disappoint.

I had dinner at the Manor Inn two nights ago, before I started on the C2C. The service was very good, and they didn't make a fuss when my table for one became a table for two. The food was also very good. I would go there again.

We ate here on the first evening of our Coast to Coast walk. The meal and service were so good that we booked in for a second night. However, the second experience was very different. Firstly, my order was wrong - mushroom tagliatelle turned up as carbonara. Not a problem initially as the waitress apologised (she was very pleasant) and said that the correct order would only take a couple of minutes. This should have rung alarm bells. Indeed, within 5 minutes my mushroom tagliatelle arrived but was literally mushrooms in cream with pasta with a load of dried herbs on the top. I ate what I could (and having walked 15 miles that day I was hungry!) but it was so bland that I gave up. My husband's pork belly bites had been microwaved and were so hard that he couldn't eat them and his pea and ham soup was like pureed mushy peas with no ham! We did what we could, but expressed our dissatisfaction when our plates were collected. We were offered a replacement meal and a free dessert but by this time had lost the will and left.

made a booking for 2 nights, the meal was appalling, beefburger hard as leather, my partner had the steak pie,meat was tough, the whole meal was in edible, needless to say we did not visit the second night,

Made to feel very welcome and the service was excellent. Very friendly. The food was delicious and plenty of it. Very good value for money. The only disappointment was the decor. A bit grey and drab. But this is only a minor niggle. Would visit again

The pub was most welcoming and I had a most enjoyable meal. I was not rushed despite arriving just before the chef clocked off at 8pm
