Great pub, enjoyed our meals!
Aikton Arms – WigtonAnother enjoyable meal at the Aikton Arms. My wife is a coeliac and a vegetarian to boot and she loves the gluten free vegetarian lasagne, available on request. Two courses for £15 is also a winner. Staff were friendly and efficient, and social distancing was observed without reducing service quality. Recommended.
Aikton Arms – WigtonLovely food. We had the 2 courses for £15 - good choices on the menu and excellent value for money. Felt safe, happy with their virus precautions. Would definitely recommend. Would like to go back :) thank you.
Aikton Arms – WigtonVery pleasant surroundings. Great local, country pub with nice atmosphere. Fantastic food & excellent service. Very attentive staff. Gooseberry crumble was a real treat!
Aikton Arms – WigtonLovely meal . Service good . Everything is nice and clean
Aikton Arms – WigtonSpent 6 days staying in Aikton & visiting Cumbria ate here 3 times & we both had 3 different meals all fantastic especially steak pie
Aikton Arms – WigtonFantastic food and good selection on menu. Staff were attentive and helpful and social distancing was in place. Thank you very much!
Aikton Arms – WigtonExcellent food and service, couldn't fault anything.... Tables socially distant too... Will definitely be returning and recommending.
Aikton Arms – WigtonWe chose this pub because we had very little local knowledge, but it had a good website with gluten free items clearly identified. We booked for a party of six, three generations, for a Saturday evening. On an evening when there was a storm raging and the roads half flooded, we were astonished to find a pretty full pub; it shows something about its popularity. All the meal choices were most enjoyable and reasonably priced. I would particularly like to point out the gluten free sole and similarly delicious Eton mess. A place to go to.
Aikton Arms – WigtonLovely cosy pub, great service. Great food & always good vegetarian selection & everything is very fresh.
Aikton Arms – WigtonTerrible service in this "restaurant". Ended up leaving before our single starter even arrived. An hour wait is totally unacceptable. Staff werent interested in tryng to get the chef to cook our dinner any quicker. They didnt serve full pints of beer either!
Pearl Palace – WigtonFantastic food good value but I would recommend booking
Oddfellows Arms – WigtonI discovered this place driving to a friend's and decided to stop for a cold drink. Upon looking at the menu, I decided on lunch. The food was good and the service was great and staff friendly. I decided to go back on several more occasions and tried other menu items. I must recommend the lamb chops and the lamb shanks, although everything I tried was great. It ended up being my pub of choice while I was in Cumbria
Bird In Hand – WigtonDidnt like it here, felt like me and my family were in the way and the food was not that clever The staff were very rude and racist
Snooty Fox Country Inn – WigtonMy favourite pub for a meal - absolutely lovely. Lots of choice, intimate and comfortable surroundings, great service and superb food. Thoroughly recommended!!!
Royal Oak Inn – WigtonHardly likely to set the world alight but good honest pub fare, good for taking your grandparents out to on a Sunday lunchtime.
Sun Inn – WigtonWarm and welcoming eating area in the front of the pub. Quick service on selecting our meal provided by the pub owner. We were pleased with our meal and the cost. Also, pub owner kindly provided two Canadian tourists with a Jennings Beer Glass to take back to Summerland, British Columbia. I managed to get the glass back home in one piece and my husband (a beer drinker) was thrilled. Thank you. Maureen Crawford
Bird In Hand – WigtonA nice setting for afternoon tea. Would recommend the coffee and cakes as well as the scone and cream. Like afternoon tea used to be years ago.
