We had Sunday lunch at the Two Hares to celebrate my husband's birthday and were not disappointed. The food was exceptional and the service first class. The waiting staff kept the room moving with their efficiency and good humour, with no-one waiting too long for food and drinks to be served. They were delightful. I am gluten free and was made extremely welcome despite what this means for the kitchen. When my roast dinner came I was delighted to discover a specially made Yorkshire Pudding, unasked for but very welcome! This attention to detail and the desire to make the Two Hares the best it can be is what makes this a very special place. We loved our time and will be back very soon!

Two Hares delivers an exceptional dining experience that easily cements it as a local favourite. Having recently undergone a sleek refurbishment, the venue feels fresh, inviting, and wonderfully atmosphere-driven for a chilled night out. The Mexican-inspired menu on Saturday night was a total flavour explosion! Every single bite was pure joy, starting with the standout favourite: the Elote (Mexican corn). The bright, zesty lime and smoky chipotle mayo paired with crumble-in-your-mouth queso fresco was nothing short of stunning. The rest of the spread was just as incredible—from loaded Nachos and mouthwatering Pork Carnitas to delicious Adobo Chicken Tacos, rich Beef Birria Tacos, and crispy Fish Tacos. Finishing it all off with a warm bowl of Churros was the ultimate sweet high note! Beyond the incredible food, the energy and hospitality at Two Hares are next level. The front-of-house crew deliver the kind of top-tier service you just don't see every day. They are genuinely warm, wildly attentive, and make you feel like total royalty from the second you walk through the door. Two Hares is an absolute gem of a restaurant, and it has officially locked in a permanent spot on our regular dining rotation. We already can't wait to go back!

As usual we had a great Sunday meal. Service was as usual very good. Highly recommend this place.

This is the 3rd wedding anniversary meal we have enjoyed here, this year being our 19th year! Cannot tell you how amazing the food is!! The small plates menu is amazing!!! As you get to try so much of the amazing options on the menu!!! 100% recc!! Doesn’t have to be for a special occasion!!! It’s fabulous value for the amazing food!! We will be back for a 20 year anniversary party!!!!

Absolutely gorgeous meal Sat night! Highly recommended. Only suggestion would be to add a cheese board to the menu for those of us trying to reduce our sugar intake!

We recently enjoyed a sharing meal at The Two Hares in Glossop, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. The standout dishes for us were the lamb and the whipped feta – both were beautifully prepared, packed with flavour, and clearly made with great care and attention to detail. Every element of the meal felt thoughtfully crafted. What really elevated the experience, though, was the incredible staff. Their knowledge of the menu was outstanding, and their genuine passion for the food they were serving shone through in every recommendation and conversation. It's always refreshing to be looked after by a team who are so enthusiastic and proud of what they do. The combination of exceptional food, warm hospitality, and a welcoming atmosphere made for a truly memorable evening. We would highly recommend a visit to anyone looking for a special dining experience in Glossop. We can't wait to return!

Another wonderful meal at Two Hares. There is such a wonderful atmosphere here. The food is incredible- highly recommend the butter bean stew! A massive shout out to Nadia who brings so much joy to diners and makes such recommendations. She was front of house on her own and still managed to make sure everyone was happy. She makes Two Hares!

Had Sunday menu late afternoon. The food was lovely, they catered for the children with gorgeous fish and chips. Really appreciated a proper piece of fish for them. Couldn’t fault our plates of food.

So good we planned our trip around coming back. We were visiting from Norfolk and first found Two Hares last year, we were so blown away we couldn't wait to come back. We were staying 35 minutes away, but it was totally worth the drive. Chilled but attentive service from Nadia, delicious drinks and food. The bread and garlic butter were INCREDIBLE. We both had the Roast beef, pink and tender, the carrot was cooked perfectly and lovely mash. Would have liked a few more roasties but I didn't leave hungry . The knives also needed sharpening. BUT they are my only critic's. If you are nearby you absolutely have to visit. Thanks again for a lovely time.

Had an absolutely delicious Sunday lunch here! I had the roast miso cauliflower and my husband had the beef - both were gorgeous, every single element was amazing . Super friendly and chatty service made us feel very welcome - I was surprised there were so few people, The Two Hares deserves to be packed out every day. We’ll definitely be back.

Absolutely outstanding meal, menu has changed to small plates so we were skeptical but they were beautifully presented and tasted out of this world. I had the crab crumpets with the bean ragu, the focaccia bread and whipped butter were delectable. Thoroughly worth a visit you won’t regret it.
