Whitefox

I last visited this restaurant in 1992 and it was excellent all round. I visited it again last week and all was not well. Service was hurried, food not up to their usual standard. The chicken saag & chicken pasanda were anything but authentic. They tasted nothing remotely like they should.

It took an hour for someone to come and take our orders down, then the food took over a hour to arrive. The cost was so expensive. I would highly recommend not going.

La Barraca – Doncaster

I agree with Jannine, I have visited this establishment on many occasions over the last few years and we have always received the same good quality of service and food in a clean pleasant atmosphere. The prices are actually average but portion sizes and service levels make them more modest when compared to other restaurants in Doncaster. Even with a large party the service never suffered (how many other places can you say do that?) and special diets can be accommodated easily. I think I will book for the weekend!

Very Good

Manor Farm – Doncaster
Mik Sykes

I was pleasantly surprised by the service and food as it was the Race for life Sunday and the place was packed. The smoking ban has also improved the atmosphere of a lovely old restaurant - excellent, highly recommended.

Having been a customer of San Remo for many years I can only say what has happened. The food was extremely poor Spare Ribs a long time favourite of mine were 4 bones in sauce (no meat on whatsoever). The steak was absolutely awful were told we had to have Sirloin well done as it is marinated! Not sure on that one but can only assume the meat is bought pre cooked and they have to crucify it to warm it up, it tasted very artificial and in no way resembled a Sirloin Steak. Extremely disappointed and will not be returning.

Having been to this pub many many times, with both my wife and family and friends, we have had some superb meals in quality and quantity, but tonight 29th September 2007,was the worse value for money meal I've encountered for many a year. I had a 16 oz Barnsley chop that consisted of 50% fat 25% bone and 25% meat.I would not show myself up and complain, but will not be going back until the chef is changed.A very unhappy customer.

Anne Arms Inn – Doncaster
KATE

Not to smartest restaurant in town (although it has now had a re-furb and we are yet to see the new look) however the food was amazing, the best Indian I have ever eaten, it was just great. The service was really good, and it was very very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend it!

Excellent food, more expensive than your average meal out, but well worth the extra money. I will be returning and advise others to do so. The mussels in black bean sauce starter is outstanding
