Terrible food and rubbish service
The William Henry – WeymouthExcellent food good friendly service restaurant was very busy on my visit however all dishes arrive in a reasonable time food was well prepared and enjoyable and at price that was within my budget.
The Carpenters Arms – ChristchurchChutneys is a very modern classy looking Indian restaurant. The menu is very varied and does not rely on the standard Indian cuisine choices. It was very busy when I went (on a Saturday night) and there were people waiting for tables from quite early on in the evening - a good indication of the quality of food. The service was good even though the waiters appeared to be very busy. The dish I had (can't remember the name) was delicious.
Chutneys – ShaftesburyThe Gillingham Tandoori is a great traditional Indian restaurant which is well established in the town and is always busy. The food is very good, promptly served by very attentive staff. The atmosphere is friendly and cosy. It's worth booking ahead at the weekends. There is a take away service too. Excellent!
The Gillingham Tandoori – ShaftesburyI went to the Dolphin for lunch recently and was pleasantly surprised at the change in atmosphere brought about by the recent change of ownership. The food was in the homely and comforting bracket rather than Cordon Bleu, but priced accordingly. The service was friendly and efficient.
The Dolphin Inn – ShaftesburyThe King's Arm's Inn on the A30 is quite a revelation. I went there 4 years ago and the place is now unrecognisable. It has been refurbished and extended giving a much larger bright light dining area with a modern feel. The extensive menu has a Scottish flavour thanks to the new owners and you can have haggis as a side dish! The haggis is specially sourced from Scotland and it is delicious, as is everything else that I have tried on my numerous visits. The daily lunchtime specials are worth a go at £5. It has been very busy each time I have been there and booking is advisable. The service is very good too.
The Kings Arms Inn – ShaftesburyGood home cooked food, nothing fancy. Sunday roast is particularly good with fresh vegetables and ample quantity.
The Milton Arms – Blandford ForumThe Coventry Arms serves top food one of the best gastro pubs in Dorset.
Coventry Arms – WimborneBest Indian in wimborne as for the Red Fort we used to go there but due to dirty tables and the toilet it disgusting hasn't been cleaned in ages we don`t go there any more.
Asiana – WimborneGreat food and great beer in beautiful surroundings. Decor is tasteful and cosy and all the staff are really friendly. All produce is locally sourced and comes out of the kitchen tasting vibrant and fresh. A must do for all food lovers and real ales....!!!
The Langton Arms – Blandford ForumAll you can eat menu is excellent and a very good price. Quality of food is superb. Good clean restaurant with friendly service. Highly recommended. Do deliveries locally as well.
Golden Horse Chinese Restaurant and Takeaway – Ferndowni was amazed at how much negative comments about you appear on the net. i have always had good service and a lovely meal every time i have been. the waitresses have been very helpful and i go with my grandson who is now 13mths old. i would recommend it any time.
Fleetsbridge – Toby Carvery – Poolebest carvery i have had the pleasure to eat excellent service i would give this 10 out of 10 for the food and service
Toby Carvery-Northbourne – Bournemouthsorry bob the best curry in wimbourne is the Red Fort , by miles i lived in Indian for 5 years and its really Indian food they don't colour there food and have chefs from Indian .
Asiana – WimborneThe food was very good. HOWEVER this was a very disappointing evening. We were not greeted, nor were coats taken. Service was slow and we had to ask for the dessert menu. More importantly, despite pre booking by phone, and looking at the website, we were not aware of the loud karaoke which assaulted our ears, effectively preventing conversation at our table. As if this were not enough, a stripper arrived and proceeded to do what she had been paid to. When we raised this with the staff, we were told in no uncertain terms that there was nothing they could do about it as she was entertaining their bank manager! The use to which whipped cream was put rather put us off ordering pudding, so we left promptly. This restaurant needs to decide what it wants to be and to market itself accordingly!
Patrick’s Restaurant & Bar – PooleBest Curry in Wimborne by a long way !!!! Try it.
Asiana – WimborneThis must be the best traditional steak restaurant in Bournemouth. Really cosy atmosphere, very fresh meat displayed in cold cabinet. Lovely salad to accompany. Friendly service provided by the owners and staff. People in the know always come here. Believe me.
Bournemouth Steak House – BournemouthVery average restaurant, friendly staff but food is gastronomically expensive, the quantity of the food is less too. Even though the food's really good its not worth the price we paid for.
Lal Quilla Indian Cuisine – Lyme RegisSunday Carvery served from 12pm-9pm. Large selection of meats, trimmings and vegetables plus fish and vegetarian options. Adults, £18.50; Children, £12.
